Yesterday I posted about writing a welcome letter. After taking a look at some examples, this is what I came up with. I saw a number that were made into books and were several pages long with cross word puzzles, etc. I wasn't interested in doing that, nor do I have that much time on my hands. Maybe if I find time later.
What do you think?

sorry it's hard to read. But you get the point

Edit:
Welcome to Martha's Vineyard
Dear Family and Friends,
We want to thank you for joining us in celebrating our marriage here on beautiful Martha's Vineyard. The Vineyard holds a special place in our hearts and we enjoy coming here every summer to take respite from the "real" world and take pleasure in the relaxed atmosphere, weather, food, and wandering around.
Many years from now when we look back upon this day, we will remember that it's not the flowers, the music, or the food that made our day so special; it's the memories of you- our family and friends helping celebrate the begining of our lives as husband and wife- that we cherish the most.
Having you here for our celebration will make our wedding truly wonderful and we thank you for sharing in one our happiest occassions.
There are lots of things to do here on the island, and a car isn't needed. Main Street is within walking distance of the hotel with shopping, art galleries, and restaurants. You can take a bus to Oaks Bluff and visit the gingerbread houses, have lunch, or poke around the shops. We like to lunch at the Black Dog in Vineyard Haven.
Thank you again for travelling to come celebrate with us and making this day memorable. And as a token of our appreciation, please enjoy the goodies.
With Love,
