So what are you up to today?

We have some friends in town so we are off exploring. Today is my only day off while they are here. Wish the weather was better.

Speaking of weather, we did not have fog in St Thomas. In the last hour some fog has rolled it and it's kind-of creepy and cool at the same time. Especially when you are on the 10th floor. Of course, I've seen fog before, but normally it's something I just woke up to. Can't remember watching it actually roll in before.

Hi ladies! H is still sleeping and I am vegging on the couch watching Blue Crush. I kind of love this movie. I just booked tickets for us to visit my sister in Atlanta in February and I am thrilled over how cheap they were - $278 for BOTH r/t tickets. I have been looking at hotels and those are pretty cheap too...except I don't know if I can realistically get away with not staying with her without hurting any feelings.

Not sure what's on tap today, although I definitely need to hit the treadmill at some point. Other than that, hopefully lots of lounging - it's been a busy weekend!

We're vegging a bit today and I've already started putting away some of the Christmas stuff. Mainly the dishes and linens. I do want to take the tree down because BB kind of needs that space for her new kitchen.

<div>If they're particularly pretty, I'll save them to cut up and use to decorate wrapped gifts the following year. Otherwise I toss them out.</div>

I save them in a box. It's comforting reading my grandmothers handwriting and my dad always finds the best cards.

Hi! Autumn was tired after a day of roaming at the IL's with their old man lab so she let me sleep in this morning. I'm looking for jobs to apply to, and relaxing on the couch. In a little bit I'm going to take her for a walk. She is gaining some weight. The weather's been so nasty I haven't been walking her. She'll be going on a diet with me here starting.. um.. today.

I got leftover ham from yesterday so I know what I'll be eating all week.

Packing stinks, moving is okay and unpacking and reorganizing in a new space is a lot of fun.

I think the ILs are coming out today to go look at a house that we're thinking about making an offer on today. We're both fed up with apartment living. We didn't expect to find one so soon, but this house is a steal.

Morning. I hate packing too. We're at the cabin but there's not really any snow so I don't know what we're going to do today. Usually we go snowmobiling but I don't think that's in the cards. I did download a couple of books before we left so I'll probably sit and read all day.

Hi girls. It's slow around here today. I have today and tomorrow off with my H (!!!!) but we have major house cleaning plans. We're still not all the way unpacked from moving on Dec. 1, so we will be doing that today too. Our second bedroom has collected all the crap we have been too lazy to put away.

Right now I'm playing online and H is still sleeping. He has to work tonight, so we'll just veg at home until he has to leave this afternoon. After he leaves, I have grand plans to get new things put away and cleaned up from the disarray that Christmas brings, or I might just park my butt in bed with my kindle, we'll see!

Hi ladies!

FI and I flew to Mississippi this morning to see his family. Grey and rainy here, kind of bleah but nice to see everyone. Going to Michaels to do some crafty things with FMIL later, though, which should be fun.

Bleah to packing, Aleigh. Hope it goes well. As for Christmas cards, I save the sentimental ones (from my mom with handwritten notes, from my grandparents, etc.) and cut up the others. I like the idea of gift tags, I've never done that. I mostly just use them to make collages and things to give away.

RE: Christmas cards

My cousin showed me how to fold them and make little boxes out of them. THey made cute little deocrations or cash boxes for gifts. We would string gold cord through some of them and make ornaments out of them, too. I need to see if I can find the measurement instructions because it's been YEARS since we did that.

I have a plan to turn old cards and postcards into placemats. The only flaw in my plan is that I don't have access to a laminator machine. My mom does though through Gril Scouts, so maybe this year I'll finally get a chance to turn all those boxes of cards into something useful and pretty!

I slept all day (work all night tonight) then i hit up the boxing day sales. We bought our house in july & decided to get our outside lights n stuff until boxing day & take advantage of the 1/2 off.

I also found luggage for $40 a 5 piece set with tax.

I got quite a bit of stuff for a steal today so i am happy. I did not break the bank but am broke now lol.
