Wedding Woes

Paging Dr. WW

In August I had a mole removed from my face, just next to my nose. This mole, from the data I have collected from my mother's similar moles, was going to do nothing over time but get bigger and maybe sprout a hair. I have enough of a witchy personality, I didn't need the hairy mole to boot.

There is some pigmentation remaining at the site and my derm says he can take it out, fill the hole with something, and then place one or two stiches over the site so the skin lays smooth. He says this will leave a small, faint line scar. Right now, there is (what seems to me) a gigantic cavern where the mole used to be (I was told the skin would be flat, but sometimes this happens). I am now wondering if I should have just left well enough alone.

So my question is: what is the best way to proceed?

a) You already messed with perfection, don't make it worse with more stuff.

b) Your derm has gorgous skin and came highly recommended by a friend, let him make you better.

c) Go see a plastic surgeon for a second opionion.

d) SS
