1) When was your wedding day? What day of the week was it? August 18, 2009 - it was a Tuesday!

2) Did you get married in a church? Nope.

3) How many in your wedding party? Five in total.

4) How many guests attended your wedding? 31

5) How long were you together before being engaged? A little more than 3 years

6) How long did you wait to tie the knot after the proposal? 20 months

7) Did you register for gifts? If yes, where? Yes, at a local china shop.

8) Did you hire a photographer? Videographer? Photographer, yes - LOVED Joanna Tano. We're using her again for an anniversary shoot this August. No videographer.

9) Did you have a DJ or a band? neither. We used an iPod.

10) What was your First Dance song? There She Goes (my beautiful world) by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

11) Did your father walk you down the aisle? He and my Mum jointly walked me down.

12) What color were the bridesmaids' dresses and groomsmen's attire? Girls wore shades of ocean blue while guys wore linen pants and blue shirts.

13) Did you have a bridal shower? Bachelorette/Bachelor Party? Only a shower.

14) Did you have a limo? Nope.

15) What were your flowers? orange and gold Mokara orchids, green cymbidium orchids, Circus roses, orange dahlias, orange and red crocosmia, bupleurum flowers, green hypericum berries, and succulents

16) What flavor was your cake? Two flavours: chocolate mac nut mousse and passionfruit mousses

17) What type of wedding gown? I think we'd call it a trumpet shape made of raw silk.

18) What was the weather like that day? Sunny and breezy until dinner and then it got muggy.

19) Did you have an open bar? Yep! People aren't paying for that much airfare without getting something in return. We couldn't, in good conscience, let anyone pay for something as trivial as drinks.

20) Where did you go on your Honeymoon? We're going to Kauai this summer - two years late, but better late than never!

21) What was your favorite thing about your wedding day? SO many moments. Sitting on the lanai of Olowalu, getting my h&m done, just listening to the waves come crashing in. Singing our totally cheesy thank you song to our guests.

22) Did anything go wrong? Anything you would've changed, if you could? WE didn't get to try out crab cakes!! They ran out while we were taking photos. =(

23) How long have you been married? We're at 20 months now.

Nope

6) How long did you wait to tie the knot after the proposal?

1 year & 2 months (wanted enough planning time!)

7) Did you register for gifts? If yes, where?

No (but most guests gave us cash gifts anyway)

8) Did you hire a photographer? Videographer?

Yes to both (still waiting...will post an update when we receive them!)

9) Did you have a DJ or a band?

No DJ, but we hired a vocalist/guitarist (Jamie Lawrence) during dinner, who was wonderful. We had a harpist for our ceremony and classical guitarist for cocktail hour. We didn't have dancing planned, but had polynesian entertainment after dinner. Not having a DJ saved us some $$$!

10) What was your First Dance song?

"Rest of Your Life"

11) Did your father walk you down the aisle?

No - wanted to walk down by myself. My parents met me at the end of the aisle and "gave me away" to the groom. I've always been the independent type, so it just felt right.

12) What color were the bridesmaids' dresses and groomsmen's attire?

Muted grape J. Crew dresses (different styles for each BM). Rented sand color suits for the guys with light green tie.

13) Did you have a bridal shower? Bacelorette/Bachelor Party?

No (but some girlfriends treated me to Victorian Afternoon Tea a couple weeks before)

14) Did you have a limo?

No, everything was on-site (convenient!)

15) What were your flowers?

White roses and hydrangeas, lime green cymbidium orchids, gardenias, and white phaleanopsis orchids...centrepieces also had anthiriums and amaranthus

16) What flavor was your cake?

Top layer was strawberry buttercream shortcake. Bottom layer was mango buttercream shortcake (which they made just for us, upon request).

17) What type of wedding gown?

Satin ballgown with embellished one-shoulder strap and drop-waist (yes, it was HEAVY!! I survived - no pain, no gain! hehe) Cream/egg-shell color (i.e. not white).

18) What was the weather like that day?

Light shower in the morning before getting ready, which caused a bit of a scare... Our coordinator tried to pressure us into moving the wedding indoors, but I stood firm!! The sun came out and all was good in the end. It was overcast, but this actually helped us to keep cool (the older folks appreciated it). The only downside was no "blazing sunset", since it was hidden behind clouds.

19) Did you have an open bar?

Yes - most of our guests didn't drink much alcohol, so we had a lot of POG juice flowing that night!

20) Where did you go on your Honeymoon?

We stayed in Maui with family for a few days and headed to Kauai for a "mini-moon". We might have another "mini-moon" in Prague and Vienna this summer, since I'll be there for work.

21) What was your favorite thing about your wedding day?

The decor, entertainment, and food...everything!! It was soooo gratifying to see more than a year's worth of planning come together and turn into reality! People often say their wedding day flies by so quickly, but I can honestly say I remember almost every moment... I was pinching myself the entire time!

22) Did anything go wrong? Anything you would've changed, if you could?

I'm a very nit-picky bride (unfortunately), so of course, there are a few details I "coulda woulda" changed! FI's only responsibility was putting together a photo slideshow, but he left it until the last minute! (Lesson learned - don't trust FI with big tasks!! teehee) Since we were scrambling for the slideshow, I didn't get our bridal party gifts ready in time (Lesson learned - wrap presents and prepare cards BEFORE the wedding day!). Apart from tiny details on our part, everything went off without a hitch, thanks to a team of experienced vendors!

23) How long have you been married?

5 weeks (just celebrated our 1 month anniversary!)

4) How many guests attended your wedding? We're looking at approximately 300 (FI has a very large family!)

5) How long were you together before being engaged? he proposed on our 10 year anniversary

6) How long did you wait to tie the knot after the proposal? It will be about a 1 year and 4 months

7) Did you register for gifts? If yes, where? We plan to register at Macy's, Bed, Bath, & Beyond, and Target

8) Did you hire a photographer? Videographer? We will be hiring a photographer, not sure who yet, and we're still undecided about a videographer.

9) Did you have a DJ or a band? We're very blessed to have family friends that will provide both!

10) What was your First Dance song? Not sure yet.

11) Did your father walk you down the aisle? My dad has difficulty walking, so probably not, but he will be waiting at the end of the aisle

12) What color were the bridesmaids' dresses and groomsmen's attire? Bridesmaids will most likely wear black, but as for the groomsmen it will depend on what my FI will wear! He's still undecided about the full tux or a more casual suit.

13) Did you have a bridal shower? Bachelorette/Bachelor Party? My cousin (maid of honor) has already mentioned that she'd like to host a shower. Not sure about any bach parties yet.

14) Did you have a limo? We won't have one.

15) What were your flowers? Looking at white roses, gerber daisies, and calla lillies, but not sure which will be chosen yet.

16) What flavor was your cake? Chocolate!

17) What type of wedding gown? Haven't even gone shopping yet, but definitely strapless with some type of lace

18) What was the weather like that day? I hope it'll be absolutely perfect!

19) Did you have an open bar? We plan on an open bar, but plan to cap it after whatever amount we decide is reasonable.

20) Where did you go on your Honeymoon? We're undecided between a minimoon to Las Vegas, and a staycation at the new Disney resort, Aulani.

1) When was your wedding day? What day of the week was it? We will be married on November 10, 2011 -- a Thursday!

2) Did you get married in a church? No, our ceremony will be at the Royal Lahaina Resort on the Villas Lawn

3) How many in your wedding party? 4, 2 on each side

4) How many guests attended your wedding? Planning on 35-40

5) How long were you together before being engaged? He proposed on our 4 year anniversary

6) How long did you wait to tie the knot after the proposal? It will be just over a year

7) Did you register for gifts? If yes, where? Yes, Target and Crate&Barrel

Oh, but they do a lovely song for all the couples/honeymooners/anniversary people to go up and dance to! It's really sweet seeing newlyweds and people who have been married 40+ years dancing at the same time.

18) What was the weather like that day? Flawless.

20) Where did you go on your Honeymoon? Latin America

21) What was your favorite thing about your wedding day? Too many to pick from. Mostly, that DH became DH.

2) Did you get married in a church?  No, outdoors. We even had a friend officiate.
3) How many in your wedding party?  2 BM, 2 GM
4) How many guests attended your wedding? 45
5) How long were you together before being engaged?  2 years and 4 months, with some long-distance in there too.
6) How long did you wait to tie the knot after the proposal?  11 months
7) Did you register for gifts? If yes, where?  Yes, Honeyfund.
8) Did you hire a photographer? Videographer?  Both, and I'm so glad we did as we wrote our own vows.
9) Did you have a DJ or a band? DJ Ron--I was so impressed by how much dancing there was!
10) What was your First Dance song? Ne-yo, "Never Knew I Needed"

12) What color were the bridesmaids' dresses and groomsmen's attire?BM black chiffon dresses; GM black vests, pants and coral tie with white shirt.
13) Did you have a bridal shower? Bachelorette/Bachelor Party?Had a girls' lunch the Thursday before at Tommy Bahamas and a surprise Bachelorette (pole dancing lessons)
14) Did you have a limo?  We had transport arranged for most of it. Town cars or Navigators for us, and mini-buses for guests.
15) What were your flowers? White roses, white lilies and flame calla lilies.
16) What flavor was your cake? 3 tiers - Lemon with raspberry filling, chocolate with a rich cream filling...I forget We also had creme brule
17) What type of wedding gown?  Sweetheart, strapless, a-line in satin with Swarovski embellishments
18) What was the weather like that day?  Scattered showers halfway through ceremony--but it was better than the floods just a couple days before.
19) Did you have an open bar?  Yes. Beer, wine, liquor, lava flows, mai tais.
20) Where did you go on your Honeymoon? Mini-moon=Big Island. Honeymoon=Mexico, Caribbean, Key West, Disney World & Las Vegas as part of our semi-annual trip to the US from Australia.
21) What was your favorite thing about your wedding day? The ceremony--seeing DH's face and how happy we were.
22) Did anything go wrong? Anything you would've changed, if you could?  I would've arranged special transport for us to get from the after-party to the hotel (we ended up being the last ones waiting for a taxi, haha). I would've tried to remember more about our guests--DH and I were pretty attached to each other from the ceremony on

23) How long have you been married? 6 months today!
