Honeymoon Plans

 I think I finally found what I want for us to do ... Just have to have FI agree to it ... We were gonna do West Virginia /Antetium/DC but we dont have enough time . We only have like Sunday-Tuesday... So we are gonna save money and do the local thing in Gettysburg and mabye the following weekend go somewhere else yet ... Found a decent deal at a nice hotel that has a spa .... Yay....

Anyone else just take the small route ? I dont even like the word Honeymoon... lol

    Yup, we had Sun-Wed and we went to the beach, about 90 minutes away.  We go back often.  In fact, we're headed there next weekend!

    ETA - we really loved that trip.  I think you'll enjoy a short, low stress vacation!

    We were gone for a week but we went about an hour away so it was a smaller HM. It was a great, low stress trip :)

    We were gone Sun-Fri, so almost a full week, but we just drive through our state as tourists and just did some sightseeing. We only planned one "big" thing (a RR through the moutains), but otherwise, we just spent time together enjoying being married and being able to sleep in and not go to work :)

    Also, we used Priceline for all our hotels and got some really awesome deals! Like Hilton Spa and Casino, King bed for only $75 a night. Sweet!

    We're doing a Minimoon... Lol, we're just gonna have a couple of days away as 1, my FI hasn't got his passport yet and 2, we don't have a lot of time as it's at the end of the school holidays and only a week before he's back to work.

    So we're going somewhere in England for a few days - and saving up for a big holiday in a year or so.

    we both have 2 weeks off so we decided to spend a few days at home first.  Then we will go away for a couple days to the town we got engaged in, come back home, leave for a resort place North of us for another couple days.

    we initially talked about taking a"real" honeymoon somwhere out of country, but decided against it.

    We plan on going to Gatlinburg and renting a cabin for a few night. It's about 45min to 1hr depending on traffic. I would rather spend time together in our own house.

    We went to the Oregon coast Saturday night - Wednesday. We stayed in a beach house owned by some friends. So all we paid for was gas and food. It was great!!

    I found that great deal and FI was like " Do u really wanna do that for a honeymoon " .. Ah yes dear otherwise i wouldnt have done the work to find it ...

    First I said I didnt wanna spend the money and I ddnt need to go anywhere , then i compromisd and said lets stay local and now he is indecisive and wont tell me what he wants to do and we should probably have booked already...
