Grandparents in Wedding Programs?

Hey girls I need some etiquette/wording help with grandparents in the wedding programs.  We have 1 grandmother who is alive and attending, several grandparents who are alive and not attending (including all of my grandparents who live in China and can't feasibly get on a 13 hour flight at their ages), and 2 deceased grandparents.  I'm not sure of the proper way to list them in the program without causing confusion for the guests.

I was thinking of just listing the one grandmother the actual program part since she's part of the "seating of family", and having a separate section in the end with something like "The bride and groom wish to remember grandparents who could not be here or are no longer with us:" then listing grandparents who could not attend and those who have passed.  Thoughts?

Thanks in advance for your input!

We had something similar to you.  All of my grandparents are still living and were able to attend, as well as one of David's grandmothers, so they were listed in the program as part of the seating of the family.  At the bottom of the program we had a small paragraph saying something about his grandparents/some of his family in Vietnam not being able to attend.  Then we had another paragraph that listed close relatives that had passed.

We listed the grandmother who was there.  We also had a little section on the back saying something about all those who were no longer with us or couldn't be there.

We had a "In Memoriam" section for those grandparents/parents that are no longer with us. We only have one living grandparent, so she was seated with family. you've got the right idea.
