Married Ladies - Which vendors do we pay after the wedding?  I think photographers, but was curious on any others.  Videographers?

    All of my vendors except the officiant are getting paid two weeks before the wedding...not sure if that is the norm or not...

    Officiant is getting paid the day of.

    Same here, all of our vendors got paid 2 weeks before.  Besides the final payment for the reception which was a couple days before.  We paid the pastor for the materials he ordered for us and the church donation at the rehearsal.

    Ditto.
    All balances have to be paid in full before the wedding.  Almost time for my bank account to be emptied! LOL

    The only day of ones we had were:
    -Officiant
    -Bartenders
    -Tips

    The only thing we paid for the day of was bartenders (can't know how much people drink until that day). We also paid for the rest of our reception site too I believe the day of. Other than that, everything was paid one-two weeks prior.

    We paid most of our before the wedding, but be careful. I know it is a long shot but if they have all your money there is no promise that they will show up the day of the wedding.

    Paid Week Before the Wedding:
    -Cake
    -Hair/MAU for Bride
    -Videographer
    -Photographer
    -DJ

    Paid Earlier than 1 Week
    -Reception
    -Flowers (balance was paid when they ordered our flowers 2 months before the wedding)
    -Limo (the required full payment on booking)

    Paid Day of Wedding
    -String Quartet
    -Offiant/Church Donation
    -BMs Hair


    I will say we did tip day of based on service (Limo and DJ, Hair/MAU) but in hind site it would have been nice to ask H's BM to do that.

    the first thing is that if you use reputable vendors they will have you sign a contract holding them responsible to show up.
    Secondly, every vendor is different. Some require payment up front, some want it two weeks out, some want it day-of.

    Everything for us was due one or two weeks before. For our reception catering the hotel didn't want to charge our debit card until the Monday after, probably in case there were any unexpected costs they had to cover. We ended up sending them a check for 80% of it the week before so the final charge was smaller.
