Holy long week, Batman. What's yo' flame today?

I dont think I have any flames this week. Things have been relatively low key around here lately.

In the nicest way possible, I flame the pastor at the church I am getting married in.

Called me at 9pm last night to tell me that there is a home game for Northwestern University football the day of my wedding and that we would hear the calls being made throughout the ceremony and there would be "high youngsters" traveling across the church lawn and into the church during ceremony to use bathroom. And there'd be no parking because the stadium is so close and that people wouldn't be able to park for blocks. Also that the wedding that was scheduled at 1pm was "slightly angered" with us because they are alumni of the school and wanted the 3pm slot but had to go with the 1pm since we already booked it. (I knew it would pay off to be an advanced planner!)

I cried.

I called the church office this morning in a panic and the secretary calmed me down. Said most home games are at 11 (our wedding is that 3) and that they are playing some team called the Maine Black Bears. It isn't a big game and shouldn't be a problem at all.

Fr. Peter why did you scare me half to death!?

I flame one of my idiot co-workers who did nothing for weeks leading up to her vacation, then spent all of her last day in the office yukking it up with one of her idiot friends and printing out the work she hadn't done to give to our manager. I can't wait to forward it all back on Monday. Hope she's having a great time!!!

I flame Allure for discontinuing the dress I had chosen. It all worked out and I got it, but what a mess that was.

@Ellie- I also flame our pastor!!!!!

So we were going to get married in a church and do a catholic ceremony. Well the church we wanted was 1hr away from the venue, not going to work. So FMIL mentioned that at her chruch (non denominational) she had a pastor that would do it. She gave me his information 3 days after my 2 month old nephew passed away, then it was T-Giving and Xmas and to be honest, after the passing of my nephew, I didnt want to do ANY planning let alone call a pastor (who knew of his passing) and have him tell me that "god had a plan" So i avoided him and planned to call him after the holidays. Well NYE day we get a call from FMIL and she says, since the pastor didnt hear from me, he booked another wedding...REALLY? You knew the circumstance, why wouldnt he wait or call me?!

So now we are stil in need of someone to marry us....UGHHHHH

I flame the photographer who has been MIA so we still havent signed a contract yet.. Sigh. I also flame the fact that it seems to be impossible to find a DJ... Sigh. Dont know what to do about that.
Also flame the dress store for being so hard to get a hold of. I think I found "the dress" but I want some changes done to it and am now waiting in anticipation to see if they can do the changes I want, if so then I wanna book it... Time will show I guess.

But YEY it is weekend!!

I flame my laziness this week in all things wedding. I have a list of 30 things that I need to get done this month and I haven't checked off a single thing this week. Alllllllllll I want to do is get in my super comfortable bed and go to sleep.

I flame my doctor. He was the only one in town accepting new patients when I moved here, and I've heard nothing but bad things about him.

I went in today for a QUICK question, and of course waited 40 minutes AFTER my appointment time before I even got into the room. Which, is typical at this office and I get that doctors run late. Then when he got in there, he asked how I was doing and I explained my problem, to which he said "Sorry, I didn't hear a word you just said" because he was fiddling with the computer.

@ Ellie...that's awful! Who cares that the other wedding was 'angered' about the time? Tough cookies! You guys booked first! That's not your problem at all, and why the pastor felt the need to tell you that...there's no use telling you about the parking/game situation and causing you to worry about it this far in advance...I'm sure it will all work out fine!
