I'm a bridesmaid!

Remember our friends who recently got engaged?  She asked me to stand up with her today :-)  We also met them out at what is now their wedding venue.  They were looking for a place and a good friend of mine owns a gorgeous venue (www.ainsworthhouse.net) that I knew she'd love.  She'd kind of written it off because the website photos aren't that great, but they went there today and fell in love with it and booked for June 24, 2012.  She asked me while we were there if I'd be in their wedding.

I am so excited for them.  We absolutely love these friends and can't wait for their wedding!

    <div>She's actually been married before, so she knows how it all goes, but when I told her today how excited I was for their wedding she told me that she could tell, and that it made her so happy because the first time she got married no one was all that excited for her.  That made me so sad, but so glad that I can be there for her this time.</div>

    That's awesome!!  Awesome you get to be her BM and also that you are so happy for her which makes her happy!!  I love weddings and I hope I'm a BM in my best friend's wedding....when she gets engaged...haha.  It's only a matter of time.  ;)

    ME EITHER!  I was joking with someone that I'm always a bride and never a bridemaid.  :-P  Actually, I technically am a BM in my friends wedding - in January 2013.  Yeah, I'm not counting that yet, haha.

    Hahaha! I'm too young to have very many other friends getting married, so it'll be a while before I'm bridesmaid. I was telling Erik about this a few weeks ago, and he looked at me and was like, "So, you're complaining about not being a bridesmaid? Don't they, like, make movies about girls who are always the bridesmaid and never the bride? And don't girls complain about being bridesmaids?" I laughed for a good five minutes. :) Such a well-informed boy.

    Yeah, I won't ever complain about it, but Hollywood certainly does make it out to be a terrible experience, which I think was his thought.

    Aw, congrats on being picked as a BM!  I have always felt it to be an honor for the two weddings I was a BM - my SIL, and my best friend from college.  Yay! 
    July 16, Our Wedding Day, is also International Juggling Day!
