Bouquets with photo charms

I saw a neat idea online to have little photo charms on the stem of the bouquet. I thought abot putting pictures of my grandparents who have passed away on it. Has anyone actually done anything like this, and did it look okay? My FMIL is doing my flowers, and she suggested putting the pictures actually in the bouquet so I can see them as I am holding it, but I think it would look better on the stem. What do you think?

Also, my colors are light blue, silver and white. What are some flowers with those colors, besides the standard rose?

Re: Bouquets with photo charms

  • I had a picture of my late brother tied to the handle of my bouquet, pic above. I got it online from either Michael's or Joann's, just search for photo charm. I think the bag came with 3, my daughter (MOH) had a recently deceased friend of hers in one attached to her bouquet. I agree with you, put it on the stem.

    Flower colors:

blue: delphiniums, bachelor buttons, forget me nots (really tiny), some lavendar has blue-ish hues, hydrangeas, and you can get carnations or daisies dyed in blue.

white: Mums, roses, baby's breath, carnations, oriental lillies, lilacs (generally only in spring for about 2 weeks), daisies, tulips, hydrangeas, calla lillies.

There are no silver flowers. However, you can insert branches sprayed silver, or dried flowers like stock or babies breath in silver.
  • I like the idea of having it tied to the stems as well, and I have seen this in a couple weddings.  I think its a great way to memorialize someone.
