I'm recently engaged and getting married in August of 2012.  I need some suggestions for a good and affordable photographer.

    Best of luck planning your wedding.  Our wedding was in November and we used Gabrielle Marks Photography and couldn't have been happier.  It is a husband and wife team.  They took beautiful pictures and were a pleasure to work with.  Definitely worth checking out!

    We used Portrait New England, another husband and wife team. We really clicked with them and they worked with us to stay within our budget. We were really happy we went with them, the pictures are beautiful, they had great rapport with our families, and were very good about getting everything back to us in a reasonable amount of time (teasers were up that week and all were done within a month).

    Kevin Trimmer is great!  His work is beautiful and his packages are unlimited hours which ends up being a huge savings.

    I am not sure what your style of photography is or how many hours you need and what you want included in your package but as far as budget photographers go - Kevin Trimmer is my favorite. He seems to have the best bang for the buck in terms of quality and creativity. I also love Sweet Jane Photography. My photographers are on the pricier side, Visual-Obsession but they include 2 photographers, unlimited hours, post processing on every picture plus a first look session.

    We actually just booked with MemoriesRI for our July 2012 wedding.  The photogrpaher is Chris Beck and it is a husband and wife team if you are interested in two photographers. He has been amazing with communcitation.  He gets back to me almost immediately.  He had a lot of energy when we met him and his pictures are incredible.  He is also by far the best priced compared to anyone else we met with. His priceiest package was still lower then anyone around and it included a 22page leather bound album. I have found nothing but amazing reviews online for him as well. We just scheduled our engagement shoot for a weeks out.  I can relay more then if you are interested.

    I am using a girl from CT, her name is Krista.  She is amazinggggg.  Super super friendly and so affordable! She also works with a DJ too to give you some really good prices.  You also get all the rights and a CD of all the images, and unlimited hours!  Seriously check her out, she also has a second shooter for hire as well if you need it.  I have her e-mail if you want it.
