Two of my dear friends are marrying each other this coming May. As their wedding gift, FI and I wanted to put together a basket with 12 envelopes, labeled with each of the 12 months of the year. In each of the envelopes will be a date idea, most of which are paid for. Our budget is around $300. I have come up with a bunch of ideas, but was hoping you ladies might be able to help me come up with a few more! I'd rather they be something that does not NEED to be on a specific date (i.e. tickets)
As of now, I have:
- A cooking class (I bought a groupon for this and told them to save the date)
- Gift Certificate to Camden Yards (we live just outside of Baltimore) for an Orioles Game
- Money for admission to the Maryland State Fair
- I was thinking I'd put together a packet of information for a self-guided tour of Baltimore. This one I wouldn't give any money towards, as I'd make it all free things. But it might be nice to explore and learn about the city that we live in!!
- Movie Night In - I'll buy them a DVD, include a bag of microwave popcorn, and include a recipe for dinner
- Gift Certificate to a comedy club for a show
- Bowling Gift Cert
- Train tickets from Baltimore to Washington, DC to go to the Cherry Blossom Festival in March when the trees bloom. Most of the festival is free
- Entrance fee for a brewery tour at a local brewery
- and a gift certificate to McCormick & Schmick's for their anniversary dinner - May 2013
This is only 10 ideas, and I'm not sure that they are all great! What are your opinions. the months I still have open are October and December, so I could do something Halloween and Christmas related. Any ideas?
