Big Island

Hey all,

Is anyone getting married on the Big Island? We orginally thought Oahu because its only one flight away for many of our guests but we found a perfect rental on the Big Island.

If anyone knows anything about the big island I'd love to chat. I'm still at the begining stages of planning but recomendations on bakeries/officiants and the general area would be good. I want to make a travel brochure of sorts for our guests so all info is useful!

I've onlly been there once & stayed in Kona, did the volcano park. It was totally different than Oahu or Maui. But I enjoyed it. Which part of the island is the rental on?

Hey Mel and Kimmy,

We are Staying on the Kona Side. Apparently it rains less on that side! We have family coming from both Australia and the USA so its sort of a half way point. Honestly we were only looked at Oahu for a long time but then the cool rental turned up and it was just what we needed so the Big island it is! From what I have read so far it sounds like a really interesting place to be which will hopefully keep out guests entertained while they aren't atending our wedding.

I will check out the photographer you suggested. I was just looking at some last night.
