i plan to do full vendor reviews later (i just got married 2 weeks ago) but i just wanted to get these 2 out there now in case any of you summer brides or fall brides are still looking for either one of these hugely important items.
Florist - PETAL DESIGN STUDIO.
Corrie was absolutely AHH-MAYYY-zing. i first heard about her in a bridal magazine, in an article for bouquets on a budget. the bridesmaid bouquets she had done were so pretty and since we had a tight budget i hoped she'd be able to put something together that would work for us. she was extremely easy going, very professional, and her work far exceeded my expectations. plus her pricing seemed to be more reasonable than other florists i looked at. i really cannot say enough good things about her. my bouquet was the most beautiful thing i've ever seen and i didn't want to put it down! i attached a few pictures of it. if you get in touch with her, tell her colleen sent you! her website is

Caterer - KELLARI TAVERNA.
this was the one area i feel like i spent the most time researching. we picked a loft venue so that we could choose our own caterer but all of the ones we looked at were far too expensive for what our budget would allow. in the end we decided to provide our own alcohol, get drop off catering, and hire a separate company to do the serving/bartending. this was a bit more work for me to orchestrate up front, and i was nervous about it, but it worked out perfectly! i was super impressed when i went to the restaurant to do the tasting and hoped it would be as delicious on our wedding day. my favourite food is greek and kellari is like a mediterranean restaurant so right up my alley. we got SO many compliments on the food it was ridiculous. despite it being dropped off at 4pm, and the dinner not being till 7, it still tasted fresh and was warm and delicious. (we rented chafing dishes for all the food) to give you an idea of our meal, we chose a few different skewers of meat (chicken and beef), pita and some mediterranean dips, greek salad, potatoes, rice and spanikopita. the pricing was very reasonable to have them drop it off vs. hiring a caterer. i found out after we had already booked our venue that they rent out their restaurant for weddings; it's very pretty inside, sort of like a wine bar. i would have considered that if we hadn't already paid the deposit on our venue. so if you're still looking for a venue, check it out! the person i worked with was Dennisia and i can pass along her contact details if you're interested! their website is:

hope this helps! happy wedding planning!
