INDIAN FOOD on the Cape??

Is it possible to get decent Indian food on Cape Cod or should I cross that whole area off the list in my venue search?

Would like to get the venue thing rolling ASAP so I really appreciate any help! Thanks!!!

The Wequassett Inn and Wychmere Harbor said they have served Indian cusine before. We haven't tried the food at the Wequassett yet, sorry can't be of much help

Thanks so much for the responses! After discussing it some more, I'm not sure it's really a deal breaker for us.
I would definitely rather have NO indian food than BAD indian food so I think if we go with the Cape it would be without... we would probably have the sangeet (indian pre-wedding party) somewhere else with really good catering.

So my new stress is logistics(traffic)! The sangeet would probably be Thursday night with the indian wedding ceremony Friday AM (west of Boston) so trying to rush to the cape after that is just asking to sit in traffic!!! yuck.

Haven't come up with a solution so far but I can't give up on the Cape yet... especially Wequassett, Wychmere, Chatham Bars Inn.... I think I really just want a nice beachy vacation type party more than anything! I may need to just start planning to honeymoon in Bali or Fiji or somewhere so i can let go of the Cape wedding dream :-)

    Thanks again for your help!

there are nice venues on the other side of the bridge too... Pine Hills, White cliffs country club...Blythewald mansion in Fairhaven.... The traffic issue is about the bridges... look in plymouth and maybe onset beach  or Marion too...

You might want to contact a wedding planner to get some ideas... JS moran events works allover the state and might be worth a consult.

I totally think it is so much more important to be considerate of your guests than to get your heart set on a certain place then make it so hard to pull off!

Maybe a better idea is to spend a few days post wedding on the cape and just rest and relax here.

What time of year are you planning for? That is a lot of traveling to begin with, but if the date is in the summertime, you are looking at the possibilty of a LOT of traffic.

Thanks for the suggestions! We were originally thinking someplace like Turks & Caicos for a small, laid-back wedding so when my parents swiftly made their (strong) opinions known, I thought the cape might be good compromise for still being in the Boston area but with that beachy resort feel we wanted.

So since I haven't come up with a practical way of doing that (yes we are thinking summer, peak traffic time), I think we're more or less set on Boston/Cambridge now (a little different but still good Cool).

    Thanks again for your help!
