omni royal vs bourbon orleans?

i cannot decide between the omni royal and the bourbon orleans for my room block and for the bridal party to get ready. My wedding is at the Cathedral. Do any Cathedral brides or anyone have an opinion on this?

    I would vote the Omni Royal because its such a beautiful hotel and its farther from Bourbon.

    Personally, I'm getting ready (and having the wedding at) the Bourbon Orleans but unless you get ready in a suite, the general guestrooms are bigger at the Omni Royal.  But if you ARE getting a suite, the Townhouse Suites at the Bourbon, are more spacious-- they are 2 floors with a staircase from the bedroom area down to a large "living" area that opens onto a large balcony.

    As for room blocks, if your guests will be walking to St. Louis Cathedral, then the Bourbon is a few blocks closer.

    I'm getting married at the Cathedral and we're getting ready at the Omni. I just happen to really like that hotel.
