Who has the rings?

We are not having anyone in the wedding. Who would hold the rings and give them to us?

Re: Who has the rings?

  • The officiant, a parent in the front row, or the groom (since he'll have pockets).
  • Another option would be for your groom to have your ring in a pocket and for you to have his carried on your thumb so you can hang on to it.

Thanks. I like this idea. I'm not sure I'm comfortable with trusting someone else to hold on to them.

Hi there! Just a word of caution about you wearing his ring on your thumb.... years ago I was maid of honour and I was responsible for holding the groom's ring.  It was very nearly a disaster!  I was carrying my bouquet, nervous as anything with all eyes on me and very nearly dropped it.  I had visions of my on my knees scrambling to find it before it rolled away.

GIve them to the officiant or your hubby.  If you can't trust them who can you trust??
