Lip Stain

I bought Stila lip stain in coconut yesterday. It is the first lip stain I have ever bought or worn and I love how well it stays on even through dinner, drinks, and kissing. (I out it through the wedding day paces last night. LOL) The only thing I didn't like is that it goes on with a  brush that is attached to the stain itself. Until it is dry it feels really liquidly going on. Is this normal?

Re: Lip Stain

  • I have never used a brush type just the maker style.  I love them, but they dry out really fast.  So if you use a marker style buy it a few days before the wedding.
  • I don't like lipstains because I've experienced this too. ick. They just feel weird and gross to me - I know they last a while but I don't like them :/
  • Most of my lip stains are the pen kind, and I like them (one Cover Girl and two Revlon). I do have an Urban Decay one that looks more like a lipgloss with the fuzzy brush. It goes on liquid, but I only use a thin coat and it dries very quickly.

If you're not happy with Stila, try the pen style instead.
  • stila does dry out....though i find all stains do

easy fix= put on lip stain, let dry, put chapstick on (or lipgloss)

i personally love laura mercier stain-- i still wear chapstick or gloss over
