Shorter Flights?

I don't normally travel by plane as flying scares me so I don't have much reference and would love some help. Do you have any suggestions for a great vacation location that would be 3-4 hours or under? Beachy preferred but open to other ideas.

We had our hearts set on St Lucia and then I looked up how long the flight is. If we have to fly for that long (and I have to take xanax) I'd rather go to Europe.

Have you thought about a cruise?  A quick flight to Miami and then a boat trip can get you to St. Lucia. :)

I think Florida is the only beachy option for you because that is 3 hours to go to Miami. A little bit further and you can go to Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Saint Martin.

I hear ya.  I haven't flown in many years because of my fear. of flying.  We were looking at The Bahamas but who knows what is going to happen.  We're thinking of maybe taking a 2 week long honeymoon and driving to FL or CA.

I fly often for my work, I am on a flight at least twice a month, and the best places would be either San Diego-La Jolla, CA area, the beaches are magnificient and it's about a 3 .5 hr flight at the most.  Or you can go to Puerto Rico, Miami or Cancun.  It may be better for you to do connecting flights to either destination if you have a lot of anxiety.  Always remember the travel time is not exactly accurate, as they always add a 30-45 min cushion to the landing time as they may have flight delays.
    Many blessings to you all!

we're going to Riveria Maya Mexico and the direct flight from Chicago is only like 3.5 hours...it's an adult olnly all-inclusive.
If you go to FL...I highly suggest Key West!! it's our FAVORITE place to visi.

I love Ft. Meyers Beach, FL. Or what about Hilton Head? Cabo San Lucas?  I hear you on the fear of flying--I hate it too! When I went to Paris I had to have multiple drinks!

    Agreed with Rivieria Maya!

We had the same issue.  We originally had decided on a resort in St. Lucia, but when we looked at the logistics, the flight there would have required for us to overnight in Miami and then leave at 6am the next day.

We switched to Rivieria Maya and our flight was only 2.5 hours, direct. (= amazing! Plus our TA got us free drink vouchers...so we were the newlyweds drinking screwdrivers on a 6:30am flight. lol)
