Help with a CIVIL CEREMONY in Jax FL in 2 wks

Hi there,
Im helping co-worker/BFF plan a civl ceremony/honeymoon in Jax. Its going to take place in 2 weeks before her fiance deploys. They would like to get married at the courthouse or somewhere close downtown. Her idea is for them to get dressed in the hotel, walk to the courthouse, have a fabulous dinner ( fi LOVES steak), and celebrate down at the landing.

We defintaly need your help to recommend ideas, hotel downtown (close prox to the courthouse), a photographer ( 2-4 hours), and wonderful resturant. Since my boyfriend and I are going to be witnessess, its going to be a special weekend before them and us.

So ANY IDEAS and recomendations are welcomed

TIA....

Bistro X is close to downtown. They've got great food, but it can get pricey so it depends on how much you're willing to spend. A meal for 2 can easily cost $100, but the meals are worth it.

First thing is if they are getting married in 2 weeks... they need to get their marriage license NOW.  It could take up to 5 business days sometimes longer.

Our officiant told us to get ours 2-3 weeks before the wedding to be safe.

I recommend Morton's Steak House.... Worth every penny (very pricey but if it will suit the occasion).  and I also recommend the Hyatt... it's probably the nicest hotel I can think of downtown.

Photographer... I'm going with Wilson Photography... but 2 weeks it very short notice so I'm not sure what kind of availability.

There's also the option of staying at the Crowne Plaza and eating at the Ruth's Chris that's on the top floor :) Ruth's Chris is also pricey but has AWESOME steaks!
