Rev. Judy R. M. Burroughs

does anyone have any experience or feedback regarding rev. judy?  i met her at the bridal show the other day and she seemed very interesting.  we are on a very shortened time line due to military requirements and we need to find someone to work with in the next few months (short notice i know).  i would be interested to hear if anyone has used her and what your thoughts were.  I am also interested if anyone has other recommendations for officiants that we may be able to get on a short notice that offer alittle more than just going to the courthouse.  thanks!

Read the review of her on Wedding.Channel BEFORE you do anything!!! She got a terrible review - bride told the most horrid story about her experience.  It was heartbreaking.

We're using Kathryn Seifert at Brides of Cincinnati.  If you were thinking of getting married in a judge's chambers, then your schedules must be fairly open.  If you're willing to get married at an 'off' time or day, Kathryn would probably try to accomodate you.  I'm fairly sure she offers a military discount.  We're crazy about her and give her our highest recommendation,  but I know she's booked solid through the remainder of the 'conventional' wedding season.

Whoever you end up using, please, please, please steer clear of the Rev. JRMB.

We also meet her at the bridal show and thought she was a bit interesting... She kept telling us about she loves to do Star Wars weddings! I had no idea how to respond to that since I know nothing about star wars! I'm glad I wasn't the only one who felt that way about her!

I do not recommend!  In fact, I thought she had gone out of business???  At least her web site said that recently.

It is unfortunate that some listen to one bad review. Did anyone know that the Reverend had to almost get a restraining order against this person? The writer was questionable at best. Try looking at all of the other glowing reviews before you condem someone. Until you talk to the venues who give her glowing reviews you are getting a lot of mis-information.
Besides, have any of you checked her huge Facebook foloowing? If she was what this writer said then she wouldn't have a huge following.
This is just another example of a rumor mill blowing up someone's reputation without the whole story.
Beside...no one ever substaniated any of the reviewer's claims. Shame on anyone who passes along such misinformation without checking it out.

BTW Belle...do you even know Rev. Judy? Like have any first hand info? Did you check out her in any other way before you started blasting her? Would you like to be the target of responses like yours without first hand knowledge?
Too bad you smear someone just because you felt like it.

She is also in business and so booked with referrals that she turns down as many as she takes. Seems like a whole lot of people like her.

Do some real homework before you belittle someone or smear them. She has has  that one bad review out of thousands of couples....seems like it might have been the bride? And that bride wrote the review (copy and pasted) it wherever she could and local advertisers refused to run it. They knew Rev. Judy and found out what kind of person was running the smear campaign.
