HELP! Square or Round Cake with this design? PIP

Please help me visualize this...

Here is our cake design:



But ours will only be two tiers, on a cake stand that will look like this:




Do you think it would look okay if we had a 2-tier SQUARE cake with our design? Or should we stick with round?

(We prefer square but we're not sure)

    You can have the 1st design on square - and especially with the 2nd base it would look a lot better  square :-)  But you already answered your own question - you like square - GO WITH SQUARE - it's all about what you (and FI) like best, not what everyone else thinks :-)

    My opinion: Square.  Ditto PP, if you want square, then go with the square.

    ive seen cake stands like that and theyve always had square cakes with them. but the design for the cake seems like it would look best on a round one and kinda weird on a square cake. but i say go for the round cake and the boxes for the stand. mix up your textures and it will add depth. they dont HAVE to be uniform

    What a pretty design!  If you like square, go with that!  This is one area you really get to pick whatever suits your taste.

    BTW- I like square cakes better too, and we also took our inspiration from a round cake.  I can't wait!

    I think that the square would look great, I love square cakes better. If you and FI like suqare then that is all that matters.
