A little late - but just wanted to give a congrats to FutureMrsTR who is now MARRIED!!!!!!!!!!

She is probably on her honeymoon still but just wanted to give the shout out!

    Hey, thanks! :)  Everything went great, we had wonderful weather.  A few pics from my uncle, we won't have pro ones for about a month.  A few quick things, the Whist Club was amazing,  I think I remember seeing they had kind of a bad rep on here, but the coordinator Cathy is really on her game, the cake and flowers were gorgeous, everyone raved about the food.  Our DJ was great (Steve Carroll D&J DJ Service).  I'll have to let you know about Alicia's photos when I get them.

    I'm so glad everything went well. You look amazing and I can't wait to see your pictures!

    So to pick your brain,

    Looking back on all the planning and stressing - is there anything that you would've done differently? Is there things you thought was a big deal that wound up not to be?

    Hmm...let's see...

    I would have shopped around more for my dress.  I only went two places in two days because I was so freakin' excited to get one and because my mom was visiting that weekend.  I did love it in the end, but just wish I'd seen more options.

    I really didn't have too much stress because the one thing that was really awesome about the Whist Club was that they handle pretty much everything.

    I thought my parents were going to have a hard time being civil to each other (mostly my mom to my dad) but they/she was so happy the day of it didn't even come up.

    I would have made sure I stuck with H throughout the reception.  We got separated by our families at some point toward the end which led to the only really sour note of the whole day.  So stick together, enjoy each other because you can't do it over again :)

    aww. Well thanks for the tips. I will keep them in mind. The dress was beautiful but I get how you may feel. I'm glad everything worked out between  your parents. I worry about that too but in the sense that my parents have never met his and they are sooooo different. Mine are very poor - his are rich. Mine are a little more wild - his is very "leave it to beaver" lol. It will all be fine though. I know it will.

    Oh yeah and one more thing, I can't believe I forgot.  We had every step of the ceremony and reception planned out perfectly...until it was time to leave.  We didn't have a big dramatic exit, we stayed and closed the party down :)  And the ceremony and reception were in the same place so we didn't have a limo or anything.  So saying random goodbyes to people, figuring out how to transport the gifts and decorations in various cars back to the hotel, etc. was a pain in the ASS.  Also, we had figured on getting a ride back to the hotel with someone and it ended up our bridal party decorated our car so we kind of had to drive it back and H had been drinking and I couldn't drive in my dress and it was just a mess.

    So long story short, don't forget to organize your departure!  :)
