cheap videographer

Hi!

I want a videographer, my fiance doesn't. He fails to understand that I will miss everything that happens before I walk down the aisle and that I would like more than pictures as a memory of our wedding day. 

Is there anyone that is pretty cheap?? I am thinking I could compromise on just taping the ceremony, especially since I am getting him a surprise bagpiper for the recessional and I really want that on tape!

I'll take any names...even people that are just starting out. I just want someone professional to tape our ceremony!

    Although I dont have any rec's (but would appreciate some too!) I am in the exact same boat as you. I want it taped, and FI really doesnt. We compromised on the ceremony.

    A videographer just isn't in our budget, so we're kind of in the same position as you.  What I'm thinking of doing as a compromise is registering for a video camera and then having a friend be designated to record the ceremony, speeches and dances.  I'll be checking back on this thread in hopes that maybe somebody knows a cheap professional ;0)

    I'm not sure what you consider "cheap" but we're getting ours for $1895 through Mike Staff Productions.  This is surprisingly the one thing my fiance was insistent we have, and I'm so glad he was because I know I'm not going to regret the decision at all :)

    p.s. If you just want the ceremony, I know they have a less expensive option for that!!

    you can also take a look at shutterspeed productions. i really wanted a videographer and FI didn't and this was our compromise. It is a husband/wife team and their cheapest option was $1100 for 8 hours but she worked out a deal with me for under a grand. Check them out! I am so glad I will have someone recording my special day!
