Bahh, going to work now, and I don't wanna! I'm grumpy and whiny this week. My period came a day early, so it better leave a day early (TMI?), and I'm on BC!

I was going to post pictures of the house from the website but I think I might wait until we move and decorate it to post the pictures.

The only thing I'm not thrilled about is this wall color choice and the words written on it.

Edit: I also might delete this picture for like online safety and shiit.

Also, get ready. It's my first week home with no work. I might post up a storm.

Good morning! I went to bed too early, so I woke up too early. Watching GMA, then getting the dishes done, then heading to work. I'm getting really burned out with my job and really don't want to go.

Hike- can't you paint the walls? ETA- I nanny a 5-year-old boy who gets on my nerves every day, and his 2-year-old sister who I adore, but sometimes she drives me bananas too. My job makes me question if I actually want my own kids someday, and I can only hope you feel different when it's your own kids.

I'm sure it will feel different when you have your own kiddos. If that wasn't the case then teachers wouldn't have kids. Ha.

I think we CAN paint the walls but do I really want to? What would we do with the dogs? You know?

Well I stayed up entirely too late last night.. but it was worth it to see Alabama shut out LSU!! Sooo excited!! but then I dreamed about strep throat and I woke up with a sore throat.. I've been taking Airbourne, and making sure I get lots of Vitamin C since I've been sick off and on for like a month. Yesterday started my new semester, but today I actually have my new classes!! So I'm pretty excited about it!! I have my Staff outing tonight, but would it be terrible of me to cancel at the last minute? Unless I don't start feeling better.. I'll be a last minute party cancel

Hike - Are they the decals or actually painted? If its the vinyl decals if you take a hair dryer on low over them, you can peel them right off without damaging the paint. If not. Maybe let the dogs play in the backyard and paint one wall at a time? That way its not like your leaving them outside all day, but your still getting your gray scale, kwim?

I woke up super early today as FI was leaving. He is on days until he gets this qual so it's been disturbing our schedule, I really enjoy him being on nights - it just works more functionally for us. But I was able to get my workout in and get on for work earlier so hopefully I can get either extra hours or get off earlier. I've ordered quite a bit of wedding things and I need to make a few phone calls this morning. Other than that just a normal working day for me.

I just arrived at my OSO's office a half hour early for my business suit/PT gear/tattoo pics and PFT. I must be super-de-duper excited. I actually feel like I could puke so I'm trying to fend off that feeling for a few minutes before I go in. This PFT is just to see where I stand. What am I so worried about? Plus I have been working really hard so I can do well. Gah, I'm a basket of nerves

Hike, definitely paint those walls. I'm not a fan either, and why change your entire decorating scheme because of some dumb walls? I like the suggestion to do one wall at a time - you could tape them off while the dogs are in the house (no paint fumes), then paint one wall at a time while they're in the yard, and then take them out for a long walk and maybe to a doggy park after to let the walls dry and the room air out! One per week, and you'll have it re-painted in a month!

Morning ladies!!!

Binxy, from personal experience I will tell you, when I finished nannying, I was SURE I would never have children of my own. My mom said it would pass, and it mostly has. I mean, I'm still mildly on the fence but it's no longer because of the snotty mother and bratty kids

I'm chipper this morning, hoping to keep a good mood going all day. Stuff I sequenced last night is looking good--and I really need it to work since it's data that I'm presenting at a conference in about a month so everyone think positive DNA thoughts!!!

Hike - painting a room is relatively easy, maybe I am a bad doggie mom, but I never thought much about the paint bothering the dogs too much, just put them in another room and open all the windows.

I was working on my invites last night, they are super cute...the invitation set comes with the invite, the rsvp card and another insert. I was just about to work on the insert last night when I found a "google redirect virus" on my laptop.. It takes you to another website instead of google...pretends to be google and when you search it comes up with phishing links instead of actual links. PITA. I found it early because I always look at the URL... and I was like... ."That... is...not..google.com...." I can't find out how to get rid of it. All the nerdy sites said to just return your computer to an eariler date...Ughh.. I haven't backed up my computer in ages (oops... I should probably do that on a weekly basis once I get this fixed.) So... My computer is off until I can find a fix.

Good morning! I'm laying in bed still because it's still early here. I am exhausted but also super excited because we close on our house today!! Since the house is on the East coast I start getting emails about it around 6am, so now I'm just too excited to sleep! Also I'm ridiculously excited (and nervous) that the packers come tomorrow already! I still have a few things to do to get ready for them, but I just want it done already so I can be on my way to my new house! Hike I plan on painting at least the kitchen and living room when I get there and will probably just keep the dogs in the backyard when I do. Good luck Sammy! And good DNA thought for Irish!

Irish- Ya I'm sure it will pass. In general, I dread the ages 5-14. Which is a big chunk of childhood. But really, they're cute when they're little, then they become super obnoxious, then they are almost adults and you can actually talk to them.

Beach- How exciting about the movers coming! I'm at work...wishing I wasn't. I have so many other things I could be doing at home if I weren't here. I realized that next Monday is 5 months til the wedding. Which for some reason is NOW making me realize how much stuff I have to do. I've gotten quite a bit done in the last few weeks but I feel like there is so much more yet to do...but not, all at the same time.

Whew just woke up and I'm gunna start designing the Invitations and Save-the-Dates! And babysit my sister who stayed home sick today. Get some other small details of the wedding taken care of, possibly the food choicing and search for a DJ. I really need to go check on our dog at some point, or ride my horse. And definitely do some cleaning!! I move out, then come home to babysit only to see the house is dirty... So while the FI is on a 24 hour shift, I'll keep myself busy and stay up so if he gets a chance to call, I'll be ready to answer

Binx, I was the same way about kids. I still see a bratty 5-14 yr old and cringe. I just tell myself that my kids won't be that way ( yeah, right!) Yay beach on closing!!!! So exciting. I have tried using the different Malware fighting software, and it can’t find it. I was searching on my tablet for a solution, but I got tired and went to bed. I think some of the paid anti-viruses work, but I’m smarter than buying something online when you have a virus on your computer…That just opens another can of worms… haha. So I’ll probably go to Office Max on my way home tonight. It is a tad bit annoying because as a self proclaimed geek I hate having to ask for help.

Amanda - I had to do that with my work computer, set it back to a previous date and I hadn't backed it up myself recently and it worked just fine. Just pick the closest date you can. I hope your computer gets fixed soon.

amh- what's "nights" sched for your FI. It still blows my mind that "Nights" in my FI's job is like 1000-2000........ or earlier. lol

I have some studying to get done. Still looking out for HM locales. My caterer finally emailed me back. I am still waiting to hear from people I contacted about a cake.... we still need to sched the rest of our premarital counseling; I haven't been able to coordinate w/ the counselor for that tho. We booked a band for our wedding yesterday, yay

Fire - Normally he goes in at about 2:30 to get there at 3 and then every other night (whichever night isn't a duty night) he's normally home by 6 and then duty nights he's goesnt get off until sometime between -11pm -2am.
With days he's gone by 545 and home between 230-430. I hate days, we get along so much better when he is on nights. But.. what can ya do.

Is it me...Or have some of the topics on this board been a little on the depressing side lately?

On the bright side, working in IT has massive perks... guys at work know exactly how to fix my problem, hopefully their suggestions work and my computer gets fixed. If not, I can work in safe mode to move all my important documents to my external hard drive and wipe the thing clean. Which doesn't sound too bad...spring cleaning?
