Videography Help!

Hi Ladies,
I'm desparately searching for a good videographer that is moderatly priced.  I'd prefer not to look on Craigslist or use a student, but $1600+ is out of our price range.  I already have a photographer and they don't do videography.  Can anyone receommend a good videographer in Poughkeepsie area??

    I am using Digital Images in Middletown.  If you use an editor and not a photogtapher, it is $1500.  It is all HD and you get one Blue Ray and 3 DVDs.

    Did you ask your photographer for recommendations?  That is how I found mine- I asked one of the photographers that I was looking at booking.  Check out who the knot has in the area.  Ask each one to send you a demo tape (if they are in your price range), and you will be able to see the different styles and which one works best for you.

    I used Halo Video out of Queens...my wedding was at the Links in Unionvale (Dutchess County)...they did not charge a travel fee and only cost 995 (there was one package that was 100 cheaper)...there are also some packages that are a little more than that.  They were great to workwith

    they have packages. I got a package called Platinum Package, its $1995. It includes: ceremony and reception. Package is complete with an opening photo history introduction, your invitation, titles and recap and is accompanied with an assortment of music mixed in that you chose. A camera man, and a static camera is used to capture alternate angles of your special moments. Its entirely packaged and put into a custom DVD case. Also you can receive 3 additional copies of your wedding. I asked for a fourth, because of my divorced parents, and he added it at no additional cost.

    When I met with him, I told John that I was only interested in viewing samples of where I am getting married (everything is @ the same place), and he had a lot of work that I was able to view.

    PS - I thought you said 1900 as your price range. Sorry. They DO have other packages, starting at $995. I am sure they will work with you too!!!! I would still check them out!!!

    Bride2be - We are signing the contract with them this week!  My fiance and I met with John last week and thought he was great.  He also worked out a good price for us!  So glad to cross that off the list :-)

    Yippee!!!! I am so Happy for you and your fiance! Thats what we liked about John too, he worked with us, and is extremely professional! Smile
