Garrett has always wanted a yellow gold with diamonds band, so of course I was scared at the price tag.  We went to Jared's back in May and he ended up loving a two tone (yellow and white gold band) which was $600.  I can't complain too much, because mine was double the price.

But I thought long and hard about this...we really can't afford these rings...and everyone around me told me to start small and you can always upgrade...but you know what...something always comes up and I may never end up upgrading.  I will be wearing this ring everyday, so I want to be happy wtih it, so I picked my dream band.

Garrett loved the ring, so it was hard to say no.  He was like a kid in the candy store.

We ended up doing the lay-a-way plan.  We put a chunk of money down and each month pay towards it....didn't want to open up a credit card, nor did I want the ring in my possession, because I will want to play with it and wear it and I fear its a bad idea...so best Jared hangs onto it until October!

This probably didn't help you...but I just kept typing and realized I may not have had a point!  opps!

    rings are in my bio

Not that i'm trying to advocate a business.. but my soon to be father in law is a jeweler at  ZO Diamonds in Boca. They are in the Boca Exchange. I would def. look there for great prices... if not with them with one of the other vendors. We have found great prices on pieces.

Jose wants a white gold ring with diamond accents to match mine, and I'm several rings from Zales that match the description.  My budget is between $200 to $400.  And a little tip, if you sign up for Zales emails, you get a $50 coupon that you can use online for the ring or in one of their stores.  =)

We are just buying it together combined...his money is mine and mine is mine (hehe.)so it wasnt' a big deal to "buy" it for each other.

We got his from a vendor at the Dania Boat Show. It was a custom two-tone and it came to about $900.

We included the price of the rings in our budget and bought them together.

When FI got my engagement ring, it already came with the band, which we have safely stored away. I originally bought him a ring that was about $500, but we ended up returning it, because he wanted something really plain. He ended up picking out a ring that we got for $25! I don't remember the name of the place, and I think they went out of business, but it was at International Mall.

We got both of ours at Kay. He doesn't want to wear a ring, but I told him he has to if he wants to live!  lol  So he got a comfort fit Tungsten plain band. I think it was $200.

I got his at Kay's Jewelers.. Its tungstun.. really pretty.. paid $299

I hear the tungstun rings are very durable for the everyday man that works with his hands.

    you guys are so lucky!

My fiance fell in love with a ring at Jared's. it's a great ring, but it's going to cost me $1,400 dollars roughly

it's super unique. Square hammer satin finish in white gold. It's 10 mm and looks great on him, its very difficult to find a ring for him. he has very big hands and long fingers.

    this is it

I got FI's band at J.R. Dunn in Lighthouse Point (which is where he had my e-ring made).  It looks just like the vleon's FI's ring (pic above), from a line called Diana but it is 7.5 mm in platinum.  It was $1800.

He got a 10mm Cobalt ring from Jared's that cost $400.  It looks great and he gets a lot of compliments on it.

We got our rings from Kay's. We wanted a matching set and found these for $300 each. FI paid for them.

OMG I'm a little jealous of all these low cost rings! My FI found the ring he LOVES when he picked out mine, try $3,500 on for size!!!!! I was like are u serious...lol...but I will say after seeing it, it is really gorgeous and totally fits him! Needless to say, I'm working extra hours on the weekends to help with this one!
