Paper color question

I'm trying to do DIY pocketfolds, but I'm finding it near impossible to find cardstock in our primary wedding color (a deep peacock blue).  I'm thinking of just going with sapphire blue cardstock for the invitations...will anyone really notice come the wedding that we used a different color?

    You might also see if you can talk to a local printer and look through their paper books.  They can order it for you, or you get the brand and exact color name, and find it online.  Paperandmore.com has a good selection.

    I say no.  I purchased our DIY invites in a brighter teal color, and we ended up going with a more deep teal for the bridesmaid dresses and decorations.  I had the same question and was worried that I would have to purchase new invites, but I honestly don't think people will even notice or care.

    People will not notice. My color is navy blue, but my invites aren't a true navy. It bothered me at first, but no one will be bringing their invites to the wedding, so I'm not overly concerned.

    Feel free to shop around though before committing to a paper. www.envelopments.com has a huge selection of paper, but it needs to be purchased through a dealer - they have carriers all over the country, though, so you should find something nearby.

    Thanks for the suggestions!  There are a few sites with a "peacock" color, however they are all much brighter than what we have for everything else.  I guess a dark teal would be a bit closer to what we are going for.

    I would not recommend buying paper online unless you get a sample first or can see it in person.  Scans of paper don't give a completly accurate color match, and since every monitor displays color a little differently, you may end up with something not even close to what you wanted.
