Suggestions:: Special Song on Piano during ceremony

Hello!

My little 14-year old cousin has been playing the piano for years and as a
unique way to incorporate her into my ceremony I have asked her to play a song
on the piano. I don't mean she is playing processional/recessional; it would be
just as if a soloist was singing a song during the ceremony, except she's
playing the piano. I was thinking of having her just play the music to a love
song, but I thought maybe this community could come up with some suggestions!

Any ideas on fitting songs to have played as a separate part of one’s ceremony?

I appreciate any feedback!

Why would you have her play as a separate part of the cermeony?  Why not have her play during a special moment, whether it's a sand ceremony or unity candle or whatever?

As for what to have her play, I would talk it over with her about what she is comfortable playing.  Perhaps you could browse sheet music websites together, or if she lives near you go to a music store and look through sheet music.  Choosing the right song for her to play would be a nice way to further include her in your ceremony, and also give her the chance to have input on what style and level she is comfortable playing.  I'm saying this as a pianist with over 30 years of experience, and how I would have felt at 14 (I actually played in my uncle's wedding at that age).
