DYI: Wedding Centerpiece Ideas??

I am not very creative when it comes to this kind of stuff! My wedding is August of 2013, I'm struggling to come up with ideas for the table centerpieces that are affordable and go with out theme.  Which is love birds.  Any suggestions would be very apprepiated thanks!

    Ps- Christmas Tree Shop has some AWESOME bird houses...they would be cute too...with candles in them and maybe the birds nestled on a limb...snuggling....like they are near a fireplace..lol...sounds cute tho.
