I would do them on Friday if its possible...I know that, for example, the french on my hands starts to chip on the third day....so the closest to the wedding I get it done the better

I have no idea, actually.  I'm doing my henna the night before the wedding, and I don't know if you usually do your nails before or after.  If it's after, then it'll be the morning of the big day ...

I did mine on the day before and had managed to eff it up by the next morning. So my advice is to do it as late as you feel comfortable, as in, don't do it the morning of if you are worried about putting dents in the polish.

BEST ADVICE: Get the "gel" nail polish that alot of salons are offering now...I am OBSESSED...its basically nail polish that lasts 2 weeks --- I had it done when we got engaged as I figured I'd be showing off my hands and it was SOO freaking worth it...in NYC it was like $45 but I know its cheaper in Atlanta etc ...def should be able to find it in nicer nail places in Miami.

It basically cannot chip or smudge! You can rub nail polish remover or whatever on it with no effect...its crazy. I even used a permanent marker & was able to get that right off....plus you soak it off so it doesnt damage your nails etc

Seriously DO IT...I'm doing it for the wedding and know that way it will last through rehearsal, wedding day & honeymoon pool time! :)

My friend just got her nails painted with shellac (it sounds like the gel) and her dark colored polish looked perfect after two weeks. I thought it'd be perfect to do for a wedding. It's expensive but it would definitely last through a honeymoon. She said it dried immediately and she was able to reach in her purse to get her keys right after she had them done.

Yep! Shellac or Gellish is your best option ladies!

I did mine on Friday morning for a Sunday early evening wedding. It's now Tuesday and they are still PERFECT! They last about 2 weeks or more depending on what torture you put your nails through.

It's more expensive, yes, but it's very worth it. My nail polish normally lasts.. ohh.. about 2 hours! This lasts me over 2 weeks.  The girl who did mine (who I LOVE!) does not recommend Axxium, because it damages the nails. Shellac or Gellish are just fine.

    Go for it.

I'm planning on doing mine on the Friday before my Saturday wedding, so they will look nice at the rehearsal dinner and one less thing to do the day of.
