Makeup Artist in Houston

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could suggest a good makeup artist/hair stylist and also someone who ties saris. Its a little difficult deciding on vendors based on websites as I live in Canada but I will be getting married in Houston in August 2011. Any thoughts and suggestions will be greatly appreciated :)

    I don't actually have any specific recommendations for you, but I would suggest asking your photographer if they are based out of Houston (and assuming that they are desi as well.)

    I got the make up artist and sari drape help from people my photographer recommended and it worked out really well.

    Unfortunatly the photographers are from Austin and are not Desi.

    Try going to Aisha's. I've seen them do bridals when I go in there to get threadings done. The brides look amazing!!!!

    this is their website.. It's the name of the store not the person. I'm in Dallas not Houston actually. I just have a lot of friends down there and I go often. Plus my sister lives in Houston now too. I'm there at least once a month

    I have a good friend that is a make up artist in Houston.  She just started this business (about a year ago) but has been doing our friends' makeup for years.  She's desi and is really good at what she does.  I believe she has some pics on her fb.  Email me at shahinandayaz [ @ ] gmail [ dot ] com, I would be happy to help!

    Hey congrats first of all :)

    I live in houston, Aisha is good but not the best anymore, i personally think she over does it...

    Try Shazia Kazi, you can find her work on her facebook, and also look at HAK photography she has a lot of her work on their too.


    Also look at Transformation studio, i believe you can find them on fb too

    Hi Zainab,

    thank you for you info..we have a videogrpaher and photographer...i called aisha and she said i need to come to her studio to get ready and they dont get brides ready before 10 am....i need to be ready by 8am!!!! I will look into the other makeup artists u suggested:)

    Not sure if you have heard, but there is an Indian lady who specializes and provides professional bridal service. She does makeup, hairstyling and dressing and she will come to the location in our out of town.  You may want to check out her website and contract her: www.artdivine.com/">www.artdivine.com.
