What's your time schedule...day of wedding?!

Now that we are getting closer I am trying to figure out my timeline, we are either going to get married at 2 or 2:30.  We have our photographer for 10hrs, probably from 11am-9pm.  We also don't plan on seeing each other until walking down the aisle.  I want to be to our reception hall at 5:45...I guess the nerves have hit about making sure I'm not waaay too early and def not late!  I guess just wondering what everyone's day is going to look like, what time are you doing hair, pics, etc.

  • We are getting married at 2:30... I am thinking something like this
    8-9 Wake up, eat breakfast
    10-12 shower, get ready, nails hair whatever
    12:30-2:00 Pictures with bridal party
    2:30 -3:15 Ceremony
    3:30-5:30 Cocktail Hour/ Pictures Everybody
    5:30- 10:00 Reception

    We will do separate pictures of getting ready/ girls and boys and then after the ceremony do all the pictures.

    We are doing very similar timeline to Sparent.

    Our wedding is at 3pm. Here is my timeline

    8:30am  -- Wakeup and have breakfast and just try to relax
    10:00-12:00 -- Take a very long shower.  Shave my legs, maybe go swim in the hotel pool before I shower just to get rid of some nervous energy.
    12:00-2:00 --  hair & makeup (there are only 3 of us, so it won't take that long)
    2:00  -- drive to ceremony location ( about 3 minutes from hotel)
    2:00-2:45 WAIT in little bridal dressing room
    2:45 - put my dress on
    3:00 walk down the aisle and hope I don't trip and fall flat on my boobs. (my boobs would hit the ground before my face)
    3:20-4:00 - cocktail hour/take pictures
    4:00 - dinner served (reeption is at same location)
    5:30 - cut cake
    5:30-9pm.  Party !
  • Your post reminds me... I haven't even thought of this yet! 

    Our wedding starts at 5pm so I'm figuring it will go something like this: 
    8-10a or 11a: wake up, eat breakfast, shower and try to relax with the bridesmaids
    12p-ish: hair/ makeup 
    Not sure if we're going to do a first look or not so that will affect the timeline...
    5-5.30p: ceremony then pictures then reception. 

    Super loose idea of things but I guess it's a start!

  • I think our timeline is a little later than everyone else's-  Also don't forget to try and squeeze in a few pictures in the hour before sunset- best light of the day-

    8-9 AM- Wake up, take a long walk/run to get my freakouts out-
    9-10 AM Long fabulous breakfast at the B and B we're getting ready in with my MOH (who is my sister)
    10-11 AM- Take time to shower and chill out, blow dry my hair, make sure I'm not forgetting anything-
    12 Photog shows up- 
    1-3: Hair and makeup lady shows up, get our hair and makeup done
    3-4: Pictures with mom and sister 
    4:00 Leave to walk to the church
    4:30-5:15 Ceremony
    5:30-5:50 Pictures at the carousel with everyone!
    5:45-7:00: Cocktail Hour
    7:00 Dinner
    10:45 Reception over

  • This is something I'm working on right now... I find it really hard to judge time for hair/make up at this point.

    This is what I have so far:

  • So far I have this.  I know there will need to be some flexibility and it could change once I go to my tasting in July and review with my ceremony/reception site.

    by 9am wake up (I feel like I will be up well before)
    9:15-10:30 Go for a quick run, light breakfast, shower
    10:30-11 Check to see progress of room set up
    11-2:30 Ladies hair and makeup and lunch
    2:15-3 the guys are having their pictures taken (including FI with his family)
    2:30-3 Bride gets dressed
    3-3:10 Groom with bridesmaids pictures
    3:10-3:15 FI and I are taking a picture where we don't see each other but hold hands around a door or corner (see below)
    3:15-4:15 Ladies pictures (me and BM and me and my family)
    4:30-5 Ceremony
    5-6 Group pictures, pics of just me & FI and cocktail hour
    6 Reception starts and we do our first dance after our entrance
    6:15 Toasts and blessing
    6:30-7:30 Dinner
    7:30 Dancing
    9:00 Tosses then dancing
    9:45 Cake then dancing
    11 Reception ends

    6:00a - Wakeup Call
    6:30a - Breakfast at hotel
    7:00a - Megan Arrives to being hair - at Hotel
    7:15a - Hair begins
    7:45a - BP Arrive - at Hotel
    8:00a - Kelli and Assistant Arrive to begin makeup - at Hotel
    10:00a - Mom and Dad Arrive - at Hotel
    10:30a - Photographer Arrives. – at Hotel

    10:30a - Florist delivers flowers – to the hotel (bridal party flowers)

    11:00a - Finish hair and makeup.
