Round or Square?

It's about that time for us to start a registry and thought I'd ask a question for my fellow knotties. I'm lovin' the look of the square plates and flatware. I've always had round plates and the square is growing on me.....what kind of dinnerware do you have?

Im about to venture off to C&B today. I've always been a round girl with plates, glasses, flatware and diamonds and thought I'd see if anyone's taste has changed.

Happy Labor Day!

I'm thinking of white square plates from CB. I can dress them up with place mats, napkins, etc. :-). The FI likes them too which is awesome. I'm thinking of C&B and BBB for our registries.

personally... i think it depends on everything collectivly in your home decor. my home is very classic and "old world" looking... square would not work!

    Square!

We started a BBB registry this week in both countries, and it's seriously fantastic.  Super easy to use, and lots of bonus "gifts" for just registering.  A friend of mine was told by a BBB associate to add the items to your registry for the gift, then delete them immediately after.  (For example - if you need $500 worth of pots for a free pan, register for the $500 worth, print it out to send to the manufacturer to get your free pan, then delete.)

I've tried to add things to the Target registry multiple times and they just disappear.  We're tempted to quit that registry altogether... what a shame.

I like round. I'm in the middle of buying a new china set (slowly but surley...geez theyre pricy!) that's also round. So I will have 2 sets of china and a set of white stoneware; all round. We have been updating our house and have made it pretty modern so the classic round table settiing balances it out in my eyes.

My mom has 2 sets of dining wear, one of each and I do love her square set.

I thought the square china was cool, but I worried I might not love it in 10 years. I registered for some fairly simple white china at C&B, and I am in love with it. It's classic and elegant. We also registered at BBB, and they were very helpful.
