Can any recommend a photographer?
We are having a tiny wedding on the beach in madison but i still want great pics!
Also, how many photographers did you talk to/meet with before pickings someone?
Thanks!

Also... Can anyone recommend a cake person that is down by the shore? 
My venue will do a cake but I kind of want to compare prices and see whats around.

    We're using Dey Photography.  Terry is out of Seymour.  We only talked to him because we instantly clicked, his photography is beautiful, and I think we got a fair price.  He also doesn't make you pay for the rights of the pictures which I believe a lot do.

    Sorry don't have any suggestions on cakes because ours is included in our reception price.

    I met with two photographers before I decided who to go with- but that was mainly a sham to get my FI on board with the photog I was in love with. =) We're using Studio1923 (clicky). His photos are out of this world. I can't say enough good things about him as a person, either. We felt really relaxed during our engagement session. 

    For the record, I did do a LOT of searching on photographer's blogs and facebook pages before I met with Jerome at Studio1923. 

    We decided to get cupcakes and cake drops by Bella Creations CT (clicky) after seeing them at a bridal show. I've also heard great things about Creative Cakes by Donna (clicky).

    I used Brooke Allison Photography she is out of Milford, I loved using her.

    I got my cake from Kim's Cottage Confections out of Durham.

    I met a lot of photographers at expos and looked at their work online before meeting 3 in person. We're using Anthony DeCarlo- liked his photos and enthusiasm a lot.  We liked Jerome Braga (1923) too, he seemed like nice person and I loved his pictures only not the fact that all his weddings have the same shots.

    we are using Eric Brushett, we only met with him and booked him because we clicked. He is budget friendly, an his pictures are beautiful! cant wait to work with him.

    I'm also using studio1923.  My cousin used him 4 years ago (and still does for her kids/family pics) and my brother is also using him next year.  i cannot recommend him enough!

    As for a baker, we are using J Cakes out of branford.  Their cakes are moist and have lots of flavor.  I cannot speak about their price though since ours is included.

    Ditto Studio1923!!  We interviewed prob 6 photographers until we met with Jen and Jerome.  After our meeting, I canceled the rest of my appointments I had lined up.  They're awesome!

    Mystic Market East did our cake. Not only did it look amazing but it tasted great too!

    We're using Matthew J. Wagner Fine Photography and his work is absolutely amazing. He was the first photographer we met with and we booked him on the spot. We've seen his work before and our friend used him for their wedding so we knew he was our #1 choice.

    Photographer - Eric Brushett. Check out his website at www.ericbrushett.net He can definitely work with you on anything you want.

    Cake - We live right by Erica O'Brien in Hamden and her cakes are AMAZING. I think Hamden is considered close to the Shoreline.

    With all of your vendors we did a lot of research and then met with our top two. Based on our two intial appointments we went with who we clicked with.

    I booked King Vincent Storm from East Haven. He is really nice and got amazing reviews.

    I did a lot of research of bakers for my cake and everyone recommended JCakes from Branford. The samples we tryed were great!

    i am a baker i work out of my home. i do cake pops and cupcakes i dont do cakes though but creative cakes by donna she makes these amazing cakes i have seen her at the bridal shows so moist flavorfull they leave u wanting more shes in haddam. my fav is chococlate Raspberry crème,
