Minnesota-Minneapolis and St. Paul

Acceptable or completely tacky??

Hello ladies, looking for opinions here. Pricing things out and going over budget of where we can "save" money.

Since we are serving heavy appitizers (which mostly will be finger food) cake and drinks would it be acceptable to get that plasticware that looks like China?? I am not really sure here and it looks like I could save a bit of money.

Thanks!

<div>There is nothing rude about what you serve your food on as long as it's provided. As far as whether or not you should do it--that depends on you and your fiance and the "look" you want for your wedding. Plastic dishes will be more casual, so if you're fine with that, then go for it. If you're thinking of a semi-formal evening banquet with a dance, you should probably go for the china. It's ultimately up to you.</div>

Yep, it just depends on the look and feel of your wedding.  I think you can go either way on this one.  If you're having a more casual wedding, I don't think it's tacky at all.

I agree with the previous posts.  As long as you're not looking for a formal feel, go for it

I think that's okay as well. If I were a guest, I don't think I'd even notice if the plate was plastic.

Thanks ladies! The feel is very casual, very laid back so I believe this will do just fine.

Party America has plates that look like fine china. (Cream with a gold rim) We used them at our RD and I didn't know they were not real until I went to put my food on it and it was light. :)
