How much in advance to make Bem Casados?

Hello!

I'm Brazilian and loving the idea of having bem casados at my wedding as favors. I've never been to a wedding in Brazil (moved away when I was a teen), so I had no idea they were a thing, lol.

I'm wondering how early before the wedding I could make them? I plan on doing a trial run, but has anyone made their own? I'm sure they're best fresh, but I doubt I'd have time to do them a day or two before the wedding.

Thanks!

  • Usually people who make cookies or desserts to give away as a wedding favor will make them a week or two in advance and freeze them. All you have to do is set them out the day before to thaw out.  If you want to test flavor and thawing time, you can do a test batch well in advance of the wedding.  I am half Brazilian and will probably cater the bem casados since I live in a big city.  Good luck!
