Wedding Officiant

I'm looking for a non-denominational wedding officiant (my family is christian and his is jewish, but we don't have a pastor or rabbi to use).  Who are you using, and how expensive were they?  Thanks!

Re: Wedding Officiant

  • I used Rev. Paul Costello.  http://www.weddingsbypaul.net/

He was great.  He helped me customize our ceremony and showed up way ahead of time the day of.  I think he was $300.

  • We just got married yesterday and our officiant was fantastic! We went with Eric Wilden from Waterlily Weddings and he just was wonderful to work with and he put together a beautiful ceremony. We met with a few different people and we felt so comfortable with him and I would recommend him to anyone. His fee is $400 including a rehearsal - we met with him a couple of times and talked on the phone and e-mailed back and forth.
  • We used Rabbi Claire Green, and she was basically awesome.  Our ceremony felt really personal, and it was great for us.  I'm not Jewish, so everything was really "religion friendly" for everyone involved.  She was $400-500 range.

  • We're using Rev. Bonnie MacDade, she's about $400 or $500, I can't remember.

  • Our wedding was 2 weeks ago and we used Andy Mahaney. He was great!  Everyone thought it was wonderful and very tailored to our needs/wants. He is in the $400-500 range depending on if you want a rehearsal.

  • We are using Rev. Robert Taylor.  He's $275 which is by far the cheapest we have found.  It does not include a rehearsal, but he will do one for an additional charge if you ask.  He's been great so far.
