Good morning all! What are you lovely ladies doing this weekend?

I am going to the Kenny Chesney/Tim McGraw Brother's of The Sun tour tomorrow with FI, his brother, brother's wife, and FI's parents. We got a limo since we could split it between 3 couples, and will hopefully get there a little early to join in on the tailgaiting. I've never seen Chesney in concert, but I hear he gives and awesome show. I don't know what to wear though. We have field seats, it's in a football stadium so we'll be sitting in the sun. Possible storm may blow through in the afternoon, hopefully not. I am thinking a sundress, because it's light. But do you guys think a dress will be annoying at a concert? With like sandals or flip flops? It's either that, or jeans probably. I have white jean capris I can wear, but then I will be constantly making sure nothing gets on them. Ughhh I don't know, just want to be comfy.

Anyway, Sunday I think I'm getting a new cell phone.

Rmp, I've never been to a Kenny Chesney or Tim McGraw concert (not really a country fan), but I've heard the tailgating is ridic. Have fun!!

If the weather holds up, we're going to take the dog for a hike today (it's my Friday off), and then I'm probably going to lay low all weekend. My sister's bachelorette party is next weekend, and I'm the old lady of the group. I need to conserve my energy so I can keep up with the young'uns.

We've got a groupon to use at the drive-in that expires at the end of this month, so we might try and catch a movie tomorrow night, and I think Sunday afternoon we're playing in a cornhole tournament.

Rmp, I think a sundress at a concert sounds just fine, but I wear a lot of dresses and skirts so I am totally comfortable in them :-) I usually err on the side of caution for things like that. I'd suggest bringing a change of dry clothes to get changed into after the concert if the storm does go through, I got stuck out in a downpour when we had lawn seats at a Beach Boys concert once... and forgot dry socks and underwear. What a looooong ride home!

This weekend, I need to work on setting up my office space in my house and start lesson planning- and also need to see how the little girl beagle I'm hoping to be a foster failure with gets along with our family dogs! She's about a year old, is tiny and soooo sweet, I hope our other beagle and cocker spaniel like her :-)

Sunday I am picking up my wedding dress!!!!

That is super exciting.

Other than that it's just a normal weekend.

Work all day today, 7a-1a.

Tomorrow is some good times with some good friends. Dinner and 2-4-1 drinks at Applebees.

RMP - I am so jealous!! I wanted to go to that concert so bad!

This weekend I literally work double shifts every day. I'm a waitress to get through school and we just had 3 other waitresses recently quit without notice so my weekend is gone. But I am excited for Sunday because my twin sister is coming home and I haven't seen her in 2 months

Uhhggg, deck. FI's dad is most likely coming tomorrow to help us finish the cedar caps on the deck and start the railings. His mom is at the National Toothpick Holder Convention (you read that correct btw) in Nashville, so his dads kind of lonely I think. Then we'll spend all day Saturday and Sunday trying to finish. But we do plan on going to see The Campaign, the new Will Farrel movie, on Saturday. And we're going to take our dog down to the lake Sunday and go swimming, which will be nice.

Today we're going to see the new batman movie. I'd like to go to talk to the florist today since we didn't get a chance yesterday. Other than that we don't really have many plans. We both took off Wed-Fri so we could spend quality time together before school starts for us and things get crazy and we only see each other Fri-Sun. Last night we had a Mario tournament and played the 1st and 3rd mario and super mario for the N64 on our Wii.

Nothing too exciting planned (especially nothing as exciting as the National Toothpick Holder Convention!!!). We're spending the weekend at home. I need to really clean the entire house and do laundry. And I have to pack because I'm moving back in at school on Tuesday. It breaks my heart that I'm leaving FI here after he moved to be with me, but I'm going home as much as I possibly can. I'm trying to keep my packing minimal, but I'm sure I'll still take too much stuff. Like I said, nothing too exciting.

We don't have too much planned for this weekend. I've got a little cold so I'll probably take it easy, since I'm going away for a conference next week so I want to get better by then. I know I've already AW'ed about this on our FB group, but this weekend is the last week FI has to work on a Sunday, so I'm super excited to have him back home on Sundays come next week!

Totally unrelated to my plans for this weekend, but cnhelbert, what branch is your FI in? I haven't been very good at lurking on this board.. I should really get more active! So apologies if you've mentioned this in a post before!

FI and I are going to his cousin's wedding this weekend. Hopefully we'll have fun. I'm sure it's going to be beautiful. It's a catholic wedding with a full mass I believe. Not really sure what that means as I am not catholic. Well I hope all you ladies have a wonderful weekend!

@rmp: If you have seats on the field I definitely wouldnt wear your white capris because with all the people walking around on the grass and that youll be sitting on the grass you will likely get something on them. I wear sundresses all the time to country concerts(with shorts under) with lawn seats and am really comfortable and I dont even usually wear dresses.

Today is my mom's birthday so meeting up with her for lunch at one of our favorite resteraunts. And this weekend either going shopping with my MOH of bridesmaid dresses or shell help me look for outfits for fiance's homecoming and our engagement photo shoot. And this time next week Ill be at disneyland so excited for that being closer.

Beth, it means it's going to be long. Like an hour plus. The last one I went to confused me a bit because they did the "I now pronounce you" part like half through it, then kept going with the mass and they never kissed. I don't think it's usually like that, but it will be like an hour long.

I have been to Kenny Chesney, and it is a blast, you are going to have a great time. I work all weekend, I cant complain too much since I was just off for a week, but I still dont want to go.

So FI just called me and asked if his best friend could come down to visit for the weekend. I need to clean the house and pack, and it's my last weekend home before school, but I told him it was ok. I hate saying no to him since he moved away from his entire family and all his friends for me. But that means I have to clean the whole house tonight before he gets here. Rawr!

RMP - I've also been to a Chesney concert. I loved it. If you're outside I would go with the white capris, just because you don't want to be sweltering and thinking of that instead of how hot that man is

FI and I had our engagement shoot yesterday which ran late, and I had to run to a rehearsal for a show I'm in directly after. Ususally we're done at 9 or so, but last night didn't get done until 10:15, so didn't get into bed until super late. I'm exhausted today, and I think my students can tell.

Tomorrow I have Professional Development all morning, and then I'm going to a Quincenera (SP?) tomorrow night. It's my very first one, and I'm really excited. Plus it's for one of my sweetest students. Sunday is SLEEP!!

OP- I have seen Kenny Chesney 2 or 3 times, I definitely have a great time!! I would bring a blanket to stake your claim lol but I concur with a previous post about not wearing white. Depending on the soggyness of the ground, actually almost at any lawn seat concert it gets muddy from so many people so white may not be the best idea. NOW down here we all wear our cowboy boots so usually the outfit is coordinated with those. A dress should be fine though a lot of my friends wear sundresses to country concerts (every year no less than 20 of our friends go to an annual show called sunday in the country).

Wow! You all lead super busy lives! Concerts (I vote sundress, btw!), hikes, movies, new pets, wedding dress pick up, working on the deck, National Toothpick Convention (LOLed literally on that one!), recouping from a cold, quality time with FI, and a bunch of you seeing family and going to special occasions. Oh, and work, work, work!

My weekend is going to be full of getting kids ready for school. I homeschool 2 of my kids (8 yo & 11 yo) and the other prefers public school (13 yo). My oldest (18 yo) graduated high school as a homeschooler and starts college this month. It feels weird not including him in curriculum preparation!

As for me, this weekend I have the start of finals in my summer courses so I'll be working on that on Saturday and then on Sunday I'm going dress shopping!!!

I'm working tomorrow and my FI gets home tomorrow he's been in chicago for 2 weeks. I have today off and got alot accomplished. I ordered BM dresses, booked a block of hotel rooms, booked our room, I also set our e-pic apponitment for October 6th. Oh and I booked my MUA.

Tonight we are going to stay in and watch a movie and play a game (that kind made us sound old!) but the weather isn't so great here. And then tomorrow I think we are going to the farmers market and look around. and then sunday my FI's parents are stopping here on their way back from vaca to take FI and I out for FI's birthday! I just can't wait to sleep in longer then 6am.!

Tomorrow I am going out with my friend to a wine festival (if the weather holds out) or if not we are going to hit up some wineries to keep it indoors.

Sunday I am taking my daughter & meeting up with some other mothers from my birth month board on The Bump for brunch.

Everyone sounds like they are having nice weekends (except those of you working, sorry!). Thank you all for your input on the concert. I called the stadium where it is, actually Giants stadium (LOVE them) and found out that although I have field seats, there are actually seats there, so I won't have to sit on the ground which is nice. And there are bathrooms down there too, not just port-a-potties, so that's good too. I think I am leaning towards the dress and a cowboy hat, but if it is going to be stormy/windy/rainy I'll probably go a different way. Don't want to worry about my dress blowing, lol. I'll see how the weather is in the morning I guess. Have fun and be safe everyone!
