we did a round table, not a square. it was easier to navigate and looked good from all angles. (ours was in the middle of the room where the cocktail hour was held and where the bar stayed for the reception...the guestbook signing mat and stuff where there as well. the room was right next to where the dancing and dinner were held)
we also asked around for containers we could borrow from family and friends. it looked cool to have different shapes and sizes. we tied pink and green ribbon around some of the containers as well.
we also made sure to have bags on both sides of the buffet.
Make sure there are proper utensils for each type of candy to prevent fingers: tongs, spoons, scoops. We are doing white paper bags with our wedding stamp on them in our wedding colors. We have some sand pails in pink and small drink buckets in white for large abundances of candy and then we will have a few small jars for the lesser quantities of candy.
