*this an sidetracked post from the Christmas tree thread...I had a bunch of pics to share so I figured I'd make a new thread with a warning;)
We have lived together for 6 years so we have collected quite a bit of ornaments. When I moved out my Mom gave me all of my ornaments that I had gotten over the years as a child and my family was big into making sure you got a new ornament each year so I already had 20+ right there! My Mom also let me pick some of my favorites that belonged to her that I had a special memories from. Then FI's Grandmother passed away and her Christmas ornaments were divided up between all of the grandchildren so we got another bunch, and just recently my Mom and aunt cleaned out my Grandparent's attic (they have been passed away since I was little) but there is still a lot of stuff in their house that no one wanted to part with. They let me go through a box of Christmas decorations that belonged to them and I took a few ornaments in the box. I'm also really big on getting an ornament when we go on vacation so we have a few from places we have gone together and also we have an ornament personalized each year with our names and the year. We have been together for 9 years and we have one for each year except the first Christmas we were together because we were only dating for like 6 months at that point! We got a special one when we got engaged that I took a pic of:) We just got our tree on Saturday. I've never had an artificial tree. I love going searching for that perfect Christmas tree every year!!
