Wedding Invite Wording

Help... how do I word our wedding invitations?

Both of my parents are deceased. The grooms father is widowed, and is participating financially along with my FI and I in hosting our wedding. Can I still use the line "Bride and Groom along with their families (there's only one) request... ?" I want my STB FIL to be recognized on the invite.  Thanks!

Are your parents involved in the hosting too?  If so, you can go with edie's recommendation.

    Otherwise:

    Together with their parents
    vintage
    and
    FI's name
request the honor of your presence at....

    Or

    FI's father's name
requests the honor of your presence at
    the wedding of
    vintage bride last name
    and
    FI's first and middle names
    date, time, location

  • Together with their parents...

    Or,

    Groom's Dad
requests the pleasure of your company at the marriage of his son
    Groom
    and
    Bride

Non-traditional, yes, but it would serve the purpose.
