  I used Larissa Lake. She's out of Whethersfield, but will travel anywhere. I cannot say enough positive things about her. I booked her in 2009 for my 2011 wedding, so I'm not sure if her prices went up, but I paid $170 for hair/airbrush makeup +$20 travel fee (she charges by the mile instead of a flat fee, which is good) and I think around $130 for the trials. The hair by itself was $85 I think.  GL!

  I'm using Dana Bartone who is located in Cheshire but travels statewide. I dont remember her price ranges off the top of my head but the website is www.danabartone.com. Her work is beautiful

  I would try Marc Rolleri @ F studio in Milford ... He is excellent!

  Naomi's Salon in West Hartford will travel if you have 3 people who need hair and makeup.  They're great but may already be booked but worth a shot anyway. http://www.naomimartinez.com/intropage.html

  I booked Sara Faella, and they have been incredibly professional so far.  It will cost around $200 for make-up and hair, $120 for the trial.  My Mom is getting her make-up and hair done, also, for $140 on the wedding day, and they're charging only $30 to travel to Groton, CT from Providence, RI.  I was worried at first since I have no bridesmaids and so many people wanted a minimum of 3 people, but Sara has no problem with the fact that it's just me and my Mom!

  Ditto to Naomi's.  I am using Candice for my makeup and Tonya for my hair.  I've had previous experience with Candice as she was my cousin's MUA.  I haven't had experience with Tonya yet so I have no feedback about her.  My trials are on 3/17 so I can let you know then.
