Hello Ladies
I have since come down from my theoretical ledge, and calmed down. We won't be scrapping the wedding (too much money invested, and FI is totally against the smaller wedding). I'm ok with that, but I really want to find ways to do some cost cutting.
We have a LOT of stuff either for free (FFIL co-owns a DJ company, can you say major savings?!), or we have big discounts because we know people in the industry. But there are some things that I find very silly to spend money on for one day. Like flowers?! They are very expensive, all for one day.
I want to have my bouquet, and he wants a bout, but is it bad if we skimp on the WP? I'm not trying to sound cheap or bridezilla-ish, but I do appreciate ideas/feedback. The mothers/grandmothers would all be fine w/o corsages, and we don't need flowers for decor (outdoor ceremony in a garden, and using alt decor for reception). So really it's all WP flowers. My mom has graciously offered to pay for flowers, but I still don't want to see all this money spent for one day!!!
Ideas por favor?
ETA: I like to randomly speak small phrases in Spanish. Sorry, it's silly and a dumb habit I developed during my late nights in college
