help w/ Venue!

in South Asian Weddings

I have so many places in mind for the venue in Sri Lanka. I know I haven't checked it out personally but from what I can see online, these are my choices!

Let me know which tops all of these

*Mount Lavinia Hotel, Colombo, Sri Lanka
*Cinnamon Grand Hotel, Colombo, Sri Lanka
*Sri Lanka Taj Exotica, Bentota, Sri Lanka

Im sure that when I come back from the trip, I'll have more options..but so far, out of these 3...which one is the best? IMO, i think Mount Lavinia is the best.

    I like both Mount Lavinia and Taj Exotica.  They both are gorgeous!!! I think seeing them in person as to where the wedding is going to be, etc will help pick the place.

    I checked out Mt. Lavinia, its soo beautiful they got amazing views!! You gonna have a amazing dream like wedding :)!!

    Oh, I hope it'll be a dream like wedding! haha. I also wanna check out The Fortess in Galle. FI says that its really nice but from what I saw online.... its ugly.. haha

    When I was in SL back in December, we had dinner at the Cinnamon Grand and it was lovely.  However, whenever I tell a Sri Lankan that I went to Sri Lanka, they always ask if I went to the Taj Bentota.  It's supposed to be one of the best.  I think the only issue (to keep in mind for your guests) is that bentota will be quite a drive whereas Colombo is easily accessible from the airport!

    I'm so excited about your wedding!  It's going to be so beautiful!

    We're staying there throughout our whole stay. FI says that its reallly nice. =) I'll be checking out all of the venues but you're so right about the driving issue. I want to stay local because all or the majority of their friends and fam are in Colombo.

    I really wish you ladies can come to one of the weddings. =(

    Damn I wish I saw this post earlier. The Mt. Lavina hotel is gorgeous and one of the most pretigious . . .and the only wedding i've been to there was in that venue. I highly recommend it. They provided the bridal party with food while we were getting ready it was so cool!

    Yeah, I think that this (Mt. Lavinia) will be our venue but FI said to check out The Fortress in Galle. I heard that its really nice but when I looked on the site. there was just one picture and it didn't do any justice! hahah
