Super upset..need to vent!

So I ordered two photobooks of my engagement photos..one for us and one for my 95 year old great grandmother who won't be able to attend the wedding(she really wanted some photos of us, especially since she's never met my Fiance and probably never will since she lives in New Jersey and can't travel). Anywho I tracked my package today and it says that it was delivered on August 21st!!! To make things worst they said that someone signed for it and the signature was RSUSPECT!!!! Are you kidding me? Why would you give a package to someone who signs RSUSPECT and clearly is not the name on the package!! I had not received a letter in my mailbox from the leasing office that a package had been delivered so I went up there and they said that they did not have the package and someone signed for it!! So they made the mistake and put the letter in someone else's mailbox for a package that wasn't theirs and they let someone sign for it who clearly was not the intended recipient??!!! WTH!! Im super pissed! Im even more mad that someone would take a package that wasn't theirs and not return it when they realized it wasn't photos of them!! Why would someone do that?? Sorry so long but I am FURIOUS!!

    Sighh....that really stinks! What would someone even do with photo albums of random people?? I'm always worried about something like that happening because we live in a townhouse and they just literally put boxes in front of our door.  When wedding gifts were rolling in, we had up to 3 boxes in front of our door at one time and neither of us were home to get them!

    UGH!  That's just ridiculous!!!!  I'm also amazed that whoever signed for it didn't return it once they realized it wasn't theirs...I'm so sorry that happened to you =(

    I was always super uncomfortable when I lived in an apartment and received my mail/packages there.  There's just too much in between.

    Ugh! No good! I am so sorry this has happened! People are so ridiculous sometimes...where is the common sense these days. I hope everything gets fixed/worked out soon!!

    That does stink.  Does the apt complex not check ID's when you pick up packages? All the places I lived always did.  I'm sorry you have to deal with this -- I'd be raising problems with the apartment complex for sure.

    Can you post signs up around the apartment complex asking for someone to contact you and return it?

    I feel like the leasing company should reimburse you, they delivered it to the wrong address, AND didn't check the person signing for the package (which is the whole point of making them sign.) I would definitely raise a fuss if they didn't at least try to help you get it back.

    I went back up there today. There are always new employees in that office who knows where it could be. They didn't even ask for my ID when I went up there asking for it..they just said they didn't have the package. The manager is off this week, but first thing Monday she will hear from me.

    Does the appartment keep a log of the packages they recieve and who signed for them?

    I would also call the delivery service and file a missing package claim AND the album company you worked with to make sure they had the right address on the package.  Sorry that happened to you!!  Hope it all works out.
