Ha anyone gotten married at the Thomas Center or at the Sweetwater Branch Inn?

Both of these places are located in Gainesville, FL.
If you've gotten married at either of these places, what was it like? Was it nice?  Any pros/cons about these locations?  And about how much did the facility cost?

I never got around to going to visit Sweetwater but I did contact them for a quote before I found "my" venue.  At the time, I wanted a brunch wedding... she quoted me $5000 for a brunch buffet for 70 people.

We just got married at the Thomas Center in March.  It is such a beautiful place! The main difference between Sweetwater and Thomas Center is that Thomas Center is just a space to rent- you bring in your caterer whereas Sweetwater is on-site catering.  You can save money bringing in your own food and alcohol, but some might prefer the ease of having it all in one vendor.  I'll try to post some pictures for a recap one of these days!

Thanks, Lissy.  That price information is really helpful.

And I would love to see pics, GatorD!  I'm sure they're beautiful! :)

I was married at Sweetwater almost a year ago.  It was beautiful and I totally recommend them!  I have pictures and vendor reviews in my married bio.  I loved Sweetwater.  The only thing that I wish they would change is that if you have your ceremony and reception there you still only get 4 hours (you can add hours but it costs more).  Because of this (and me and DH didn't want to pay for one extra hour) we rushed through our pictures a bit and missed a few shots we really wanted.  If you have any questions about Sweetwater or any of my other vendors feel free to PM me.

I'm getting married at Sweetwater in October. I like the convenience of having them take care of the catering and supplying the mixers for the alcohol. You still have to bring your own alcohol in there and it does save money.
