One Hour Runners

Anyone doing this program after C25K?? I would like to ask your opinions on whether to work on my speed for a while first.. or continue with endurance.  Some girls from work and I signed up for a super-sprint triathalon in August.  So I'd like to work on speed but working on distance can't hurt either.

    From what I've heard, speed often goes hand in hand with distance.  I don't have any experience, but from some of the blogs I follow, for them as they can run farther and farther distances, they manage to run the shorter ones faster.

    i'm doing a learn to run 10K, and speed comes second.
    you want to increase your endurance before you increase your speed.

    Your body needs time to adapt.

    if you are doing the couch to 5K stick with the program and do not jump ahead.  the interval training style really works.

    i have been running for 8 weeks and am up to 5.5K. i did that on saturday in 48 minutes. not fast by any stretch, but considering 8 weeks ago i had never run a day in my life it was a pretty big milestone!
