Rocks with guest book?

I know I read one of you ladies did this!  Where did you get the rocks and did you use a sharpie or paint pen?

Thank you so much!

Re: Rocks with guest book?

  • I did not know that! Thank you!  I've looked at Lowes for rocks but they are all too small....Also, I would imagine you'd need as many rocks as invites you sent out right?  Each guest wont sign a rock, wouldn't couples sign them together?

It was me! I got the rocks at Hobby Lobby. We used metallic paint pens. You will need to a buy a lot of bags b/c you want to pick out the largest, flattest, smoothest ones. And there's not a lot of room, so some of our friends signed multiple ones.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • I'm not sure. A couple of them are kind of smeary, so Sharpie might be the better choice. I would use gold or silver (does Sharpie do other metallic colors?) for sure b/c if you just do a flat color, it might not show up well on some of the darker rocks. I used metallic silver Sharpie for the escort rocks and did those on all black rocks.

  • We did this as well. We bought a few bags of black river rocks from Michaels, and then used silver Sharpies. Now we have them displayed in a couple of glass vases in our living room.
