flower girl dress?

So my flower girls are my soon to be step daughters! Laughing  We'll be shopping soon for their dresses.  Should their dresses be a similar style to mine, the bridesmaids or just whatever they end up liking?  I have no idea & guess I've never really paid much attention.  I know I guess it means not many people do, but what are you doing?  Will your flower girl's dress be similar to yours or totally her own style?

Re: flower girl dress?

  • I think it is up to you. For my flowergirl dress the style will not be similar to mine, but it will have the colors of mine.

what ever fits your needs and wants then go with that. I don't know if this will help you with your choice.

    something to think about

  • It's up to you.  I like seeing little girls in white, because that reflects childhood innocence.  We put DH's two little cousins in ivory satin (my dress was ivory silk) with royal blue sashes smiliar in color to the BM dresses.  We chose a knee-length style and then also bought red and pastel sashes so the girls could wear the dresses again at Christmas and Easter before they outgrew them.  IMO, FG dresses at bridal stores are outrageously expensive for the small amount of material used.  We had a great experience with the style and size selection, quality, and prices at this website:  http://www.flowergirldressforless.com/

  • Think outside the box. My flower girl's dress was from Gymboree Outlet. You could even take them shopping and let them pick out the dresses.

  • My flower girl is wearing a natural cotton dress that is very child appropriate (She won't be dressed like a miniature version of me!).  She will be 4.5 at the time of the wedding.
  • Which style of your wedding dress , maybe you can try to find a matching one in :http://www.prefectbridal.com/home.php?cat=3

I know they can also make dress according to your requirements .
  • It depends on you, personally, I think flowers girls should be sweet styles, because they are little girls~~And for summer wedding, sweet flower girls are amazing!!
